Creativity in action! Today our young people took part in a hands-on crafts training where they learned how to make beautiful bracelets and key holders. Skills like these not only encourage creativity but also open doors for small income-generating opportunities for the youth. We’re proud to see talent, innovation and confidence growing in our community. ✨

A meaningful engagement with the Operation Days Work team and youth committee from the Youth Mental Health Academy was held today in Pumula. The meeting included key partners such as Yellow World, Magamba Network and House of Association, as we reflected on ways to strengthen the Youth Mental Health Academy. The discussion focused on creating safe and welcoming spaces for young people, encouraging greater youth participation and ensuring facilitators remain approachable and supportive. Conversations like these help us continue building a community where young people feel heard, supported and empowered.

Today’s mental health session with Zeluleko Moyo at Pumula Old gave us an important reminder: understanding mental health issues requires both qualitative and quantitative research. Numbers help us see the scale, while personal stories help us understand the real human experience behind the data. A meaningful takeaway from today’s conversation.
