Come here, let’s talk a little. This message may be long, but it carries a real life story. Maybe someone out there will relate to it and get inspired. 🙏🏾

You can easily spot Intra Cloud in this picture 😅 but that’s not really what I want to talk about today. I want to encourage someone, even though school is not the only road to success.

The picture you are looking at right now was called “7 and a Half.” I won’t explain the meaning because it’s not necessary 😄. Those who were at Mutende Day Secondary School during our intake can testify — it wasn’t easy to join this clique, and it wasn’t easy to leave either.

We loved each other deeply. We built a bond nobody could break. Yes, sometimes we fought amongst ourselves, but after a short time we always got back together. One thing we all had in common was the love for school. 📚

If you missed classes for just one day, you would feel like you were behind for the whole week.

We supported each other academically, spiritually, and emotionally. Maybe not financially 😅, but love truly existed amongst us.

Now away from the gang, there was always a thorn in my heart. 💔

Most of these guys had homes — and when I say homes, I mean a place where after knocking off from school, you go back smiling, eat food, rest, and study peacefully.

For me, it was different.

You could see me laughing with my friends, smiling and joking around 😃, but deep down my mind was busy thinking:“What am I going to eat after school today?” 😔

I could be laughing with everyone, while silently worrying:“If I fail, who is going to pay for my G.C.E exams?”

Some people don’t know this, but I used to work for the school just so I could continue learning. 😅

When my friends were enjoying their holidays, I was busy watering gardens 🌱, painting classrooms 🎨, and doing school work just to remain in school. 😭

This is real life.

I come from a place where nobody pushed you to stay in school. That’s why sometimes I would smile when I saw someone being forced to go to school while everything was already settled for them.

So this message is for someone going through the same thing right now. ❤️

Listen… I had dreams too. I had goals, plans, and ambitions just like you. But sometimes my situation limited me. All I needed was just a little push from someone.

Countless times I talked to God asking,“Why me?” 🙏🏾

But glory be to God, through all the struggles I managed to complete Grade 12 — and guess what? I passed very well. ✅

When I passed, I thought life would finally become easier 😅 because in my mind I already had plans:Apply for university, maybe work at Shoprite for a while, then continue with school.

I had hope in Higher Education Loans and Scholarships Board because my results qualified me.

Little did I know that the struggle I went through in secondary school would be multiplied by 3. 😭😂

I applied for a student loan three times.I appealed twice.My last attempt, I personally took my papers to the headquarters in Lusaka.

Still… I was never picked.

Life can really humble you sometimes. 💔

I got frustrated.I got angry at God.I failed many times.I trusted again and again… and still nothing.

But I am not sharing this to discourage anyone.

I’m sharing this so somebody out there can understand that even when life delays your plans, it doesn’t mean your destiny is cancelled. 🙏🏾🔥

I have remained silent for some time, expecting that you would address the serious concerns raised against your organization.

However, your continued silence reflects a troubling lack of respect and accountability toward the very artists who give your platform relevance. It is both disappointing and unacceptable to learn that only one artist was compensated I mean given money,only one artist wow 👌 🙄

This decision not only undermines the credibility of your awards but also disrespects the depth of talent across Mansa and the entire Luapula Province.
There are countless gifted artists who contribute to the growth of this industry, and reducing recognition and reward to a single individual is both unfair and dismissive.

Furthermore, the integrity of the voting process has been widely questioned. This only deepens concerns about transparency and fairness within your organization.

At this point, this is no longer a minor issue—it is a matter of principle. Immediate clarification and corrective action are required. The creative industry is built by the people, and it deserves to be treated with fairness, transparency, and respect.

We will not remain silent while the integrity of our craft is compromised.
