Embarking on a rallying journey can be surprisingly easy with some sneaky modifications.
Selective participation in stage competitions that suit your pocket helps. Of course, you’ll need a cheap be**er (I started with an AE110 Corolla), then an initial investment as low as K30,000 to turn your be**er into a competitive Class D contender.
Get involved, guys!

Four years ago we took a wild shot at building a 3-car privateer racing team from the ground up.
It wasn’t easy, it wasn’t perfect—but it was one hell of a ride. Long nights, early mornings, many lost bumpers, big laughs, and a crew that believed we could make it happen.
We learned a ton, made memories that’ll last forever, and proved that passion can take you further than you think. Wouldn’t trade that experience for anything, hopefully we see rallying get back to what it was.

Our end of rally debrief from the just ended ZAMBIA INTERNATIONAL RALLY 2023
23/10/2023
And so the story went…
Final day of the ZIR 2023 wasn’t without drama. We broke the gearbox 10km into Chartonel and luckily were able to find gear 3.
We kept it in gear 3 and drove all 7 stages in 3rd gear!
Car held thanks to lubricants and we managed to finish 2nd in National Rally Championship and 4th overall!

Oh man what a day!
We had a puncture 12kms into SS1, we drove on it haemorrhaging time. Got that sorted, started to push, posted a series of times right behind the R5’s. And a few ahead 🙂
Climbed up a couple positions and long behold another puncture halfway through the penultimate stage.
We’ve maintained position, 3rd National and 6th overall.
Final day today and the plan remains to try our best to climb up and fight our own times!
Thanks to Vivo Energy Zambia our all weather sponsors, the car is running better than ever!
This was our day 1 highlights thanks to our brilliant media team 💪🏾
Today’s race starts at Chartonel Farm which is 5km down from the junction turning to Chaminuka. Starts at around 8. This is the best spectator stage.
Wish us luck and we’ll go give it our best shot.

Qualifiers are done. (Even if for locals it doesn’t count)
We had every intention to go for our personal best but the car hadn’t woken up yet 😩.
Nevertheless, tomorrow rally proper begins at 7am from Radisson to Chartonel Farm (on road to Chaminuka)
From us at it’s goodnight and see you all tomorrow!
