So today before my son (8) closed for mid term break at their school they had Market day (the upper primary brought different things to sell and the lower primary buying and learning on how to do it) of which we have been preparing from last week of cause and we prepared some money for this event, so last night we gave him some money and today was the day, called home around 2pm it being half day and they had closed already and he was home, I was told there was a surprise for me and was anxious to see.
Upon reaching the gate this evening as I usually also check on the chickens behind before getting inside the house, I was followed, hugged "like always" and was covered on my face with some cloth. Went inside the house and boom 💥🤯 was given my present 🎁.
I was happy that he was happy to buy what he himself could buy .But one thing that caught my attention was the fact that among the little things he bought,he remembered to buy something for me "which is not the first time" but the kind of present 🎁 which is so special to me and grateful to God on how generous he is becoming.

LESSON I HAVE TAKEN.

It looks like my son didn't just learn about "Market Day" economics; he practiced the much more important lesson of thoughtfulness.
​There is something incredibly special about an 8-year-old having some money in a room full of toys and treats, yet choosing to set some aside specifically for someone else. It speaks volumes about his character and the bond we share .
​To me it’s clear he has a great eye for "cool" stuff, but the standout to me has to be that "Best Friends" bracelet.
​For a child to pick a "Best Friends" band for me as a parent is the ultimate compliment. To him, I am not just a provider; but his teammate.
​At 8 years old, children are moving from being naturally self-centered to understanding the feelings of others. The fact that he consistently remembers me shows that generosity is becoming a core part of who he is.
​That "blindfold" surprise entrance shows he didn't just want to give me a gift but he wanted to give me an experience. He was clearly buzzing with excitement today see my reaction. May God continue to guide him and also give me the wisdom to take care of them. 🙏🏾

When the monkeys and baboons heard the farmer who used to chase them from the farm had died, they danced joyfully.
"No more shouting!"
"No more chasing!"
"No more fences!"

They thought their greatest problem was finally gone.

But when the next planting season came… something strange happened.
There was no planting.
No maize.
No harvest.
Just silence. Just emptiness.

Only then did it hit them. The one they ran from was actually the one they relied on.
The "enemy" who chased them away… was also the provider who made the harvest possible.
His presence brought order. His work sustained life.

💡The truth?
Sometimes the people we resist the most, those who correct, lead, or set boundaries are the very ones holding things together.
We mistake protection for punishment, discipline for control and mostly your efforts go unnoticed...
Leadership is heavy, and those who carry it often do so without applause.

✨ The Lesson:
Just because your efforts go unnoticed…
Just because your voice is not always welcomed…
Just because your heart is misunderstood…

Doesn’t mean you’re not making a difference.

One day, when you’re no longer there,
