The Oppressor is a ruler of darkness. His greatest threat and nightmare is light. The word light from its original Hebrew text is translated as knowledge while darkness as ignorance. The enemy doesn't want people to attain relevant knowledge pertaining to life because it's a greatest commodity in the land of success. Instead, he preoccupies the majority with lots of fun or entertainment.

I hope you understand why there's so much going on in the entertainment industry. I also hope you understand why it's easier to get entertained than it is to learn.

If the enemy is to attack any area of your life now, for example, your finances, he will assess only one thing...

"Does this person have enough knowledge about this area of life?" In this case, finances.

If he finds out that you are ignorant, then boom, he will use your ignorance (darkness) to rule over that area of your life (finances), because he is a ruler of darkness (ignorance). You then end up making poor investment decisions, mismanaging your money and eventually broke, due to lack of knowledge. The enemy didn't make you broke, but ignorance did.
