SABBATH WORSHIP OVERVIEW

Title: 𝘗𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘐’𝘮 𝘖𝘬𝘢𝘺
Text: 1 Samuel 1:2

The message challenged us to reflect on 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐰𝐞 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐰𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 and whether we give Him enough time and attention.

One important lesson was that 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐦𝐚𝐲 𝐛𝐞 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐛𝐞 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭. Elkanah marrying Peninnah may have seemed good in itself, but it resulted in pain and difficulty in Hannah's life.

Hannah did not choose to be barren. She was born into a situation she could not control. Sometimes life places us in painful circumstances that are 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐮𝐥𝐭 It may be painful to be where we are or to face the circumstances we are in, but we should not lose hope. 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐢𝐬 𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐰𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐬𝐞𝐞 𝐢𝐭.

Hannah responded to her pain by 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐜𝐫𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐆𝐨𝐝, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠. The more Peninnah persecuted her, the more Hannah turned to God. This reminds us that our condition should not be determined by those who laugh at us or look down on us. Instead, we should 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫.

Not every problem is meant to destroy us. 𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐰 𝐮𝐬 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐆𝐨𝐝.

Hannah did not make Peninnah the focus of her life because Peninnah was not the solution to her problem. 𝐒𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐆𝐨𝐝. She understood that her destination was God because only God had the power to change her situation.

The message encouraged us not to become discouraged by what people say or by how God appears to be blessing others. 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐞𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐮𝐬.
