Your Health Matters!

In many African communities, we often associate being overweight with being healthy. When people see someone who is slim, they may ask, "Are you sick?" or "Don't you eat well?" 😄

People sometimes ask a lot "You cook so much, so why aren't you and your family fat?" My answer is always the same: because we choose to eat healthy.

Being overweight is not the same as being healthy. Excess body fat increases the risk of many diseases, including diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, and other chronic illnesses.

If you're concerned about excess body fat, consider making healthier choices:

- Avoid eating large dinners late at night.
- Reduce your intake of sugar.
- Limit fried and highly processed foods.
- Cook at home as often as possible so you can control the ingredients in your meals.

Good health doesn't happen by chance—it is the result of the choices we make every day. When we do our part by caring for our bodies, we trust God to do what only He can do.

Choose health. Choose wisdom. Your body is a gift from God—take good care of it.

HERE COMES Northern Zambia Union Conference - NZUC is honoured to officially announce the upcoming pastoral visit of the President of the Southern Africa-Indian Ocean Division (SID), Dr. Harrington S. Akombwa, from 17 to 26 July 2026.

This extraordinary visit is a clear homily of the Division's commitment to strengthening God's mission, encouraging the membership, and advancing the global vision of the Seventh-day Adventist Church throughout Northern Zambia. It will be a season of spiritual revival, inspiration, fellowship and renewed commitment to the gospel commission.

The president’s itinerary will see him conduct a big Sabbath in Solwezi, engage with the leaders and members in Chavuma, Chingola, Masansa in central province culminating in a Grand Big Sabbath at Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola before his departure on 26 July.

This is more than an official visit—it is a historic spiritual moment for our Union. We warmly invite all members, friends of the Church and the public to be part of these life-changing gatherings as we worship together, receive biblical encouragement and reaffirm our commitment to sharing the everlasting gospel.

Mark your calendars. Pray for the visit. Invite your family and friends. Let us come together to give our distinguished leader a warm Northern Zambia welcome and experience what God has prepared for His people.

MISSING CHILDREN: TWIN sisters Luyando and Lushomo Munyinya aged 12 of Ndeke SDA church in Luanshya East mission district have gone missing from their home in Luanshya.

The girls are believed to have left Luanshya for Lusaka in the company of another female juvenile without the knowledge of their parents.
