Powerful!
"Don’t wait for a miracle. Be the miracle someone else is waiting for." – Pastor Chris Oyakhilome
Many times, we pray for change while overlooking the fact that God might want to bring that change through us. The miracle someone needs could be hidden in your kindness, generosity, or obedience.
When we start living as vessels instead of just recipients, we realize that miracles multiply through action.
Who around you might be waiting for the miracle that only you can become?

Why Faith Doesn't Always Mean Instant Results
Faith does not always bring instant results. One clear example is the story of Elijah in 1 Kings 18-19. After confronting the prophets of Baal, Elijah prayed for rain to end a long drought in Israel. Yet even after praying, nothing happened immediately. He had to send his servant seven times to look toward the sea before a small cloud appeared.
The Bible shows that faith often involves waiting. Hebrews 11:13 tells us that many believers died without receiving the promises, yet they trusted God anyway. James 5:7 compares faith to the farmer who waits patiently for the precious fruit of the earth. Psalm 27:14 encourages us to wait on the Lord and be of good courage. Abraham waited decades for the fulfillment of God’s promise of Isaac (Romans 4:20-21). Habakkuk 2:3 reminds us that visions may tarry, but they will surely come in God’s appointed time.
Faith does not mean God acts on our timetable. 2 Peter 3:8-9 teaches that what seems like delay is God’s perfect timing and patience.
These stories remind us that patience is part of trusting God. Even when prayers seem delayed, God is still at work behind the scenes. Keep praying, keep believing, and watch God fulfill His promises at the right time.

Some profound insights here!
When Praise Becomes Noise to God
In a world filled with choirs, offerings, and declarations of praise, there lies a sobering truth, God is not impressed by performance when justice is neglected. Across scripture, we hear a divine cry, not for louder songs or costlier sacrifices, but for righteousness to roll like a river and justice like a never ending stream.
The prophet Amos delivers one of the clearest declarations of this truth, “Away with the noise of your songs! I will not listen to the music of your harps. But let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never failing stream.” Amos 5:23–24
God’s disapproval wasn’t of worship itself, but of worship divorced from justice. The people of Israel had perfected religious ritual while simultaneously exploiting the poor, silencing the vulnerable, and erecting systems of arrogance and greed. In this context, their worship became hypocrisy.
True worship flows from a life aligned with God’s character:
- Justice: treating others fairly, defending the oppressed, and dismantling systems of exploitation.
- Humility: recognizing our dependence on God, and never exalting self above others.
- Mercy: compassion in action, beyond lip service or symbolic gestures.
- Integrity: living truthfully, even when no one’s watching.
When these values are absent, worship becomes mere theater. This message still thunders today, especially in societies where wealth is hoarded by a few while many starve, songs of praise ring loudly, but the cries of the exploited are ignored and religious titles become excuses for abuse.
God sees through this performance. He doesn’t need our songs, he wants our hearts, our actions, and our alignment with His justice.
King David captured this truth when he wrote, “You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it; you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.” Psalm 51:16–17
When worship is rooted in humility, repentance, and a commitment to justice, it becomes a fragrant offering to God.
It's like a fire in my veins!
