It is sad to see the growth of the industry of people who are involved in manufacturing counterfeit products in the Fashion Industry. These do not only damage the reputation and dignity of well established brands, but also contribute to the high unemployment rate and the low GDP of the country.
Many well known international brands have been victim of such, namely Gucci, Louis Vuitton and locally Maxhosa as seen in the images above. The products are manufactured counterfeits that are sold at prices next to nothing, shining the spotlight away from the original brands that put an immense amount of effort and creativity in their crafts to deliver pure quality in their designs.
Let us continue supporting our original local brands and keep the spotlight on them

In the latest of fashion news
Fashion House Dolce and Gabbana have decided to stop using animal fur in their collections

A commendable and admirable sense of social responsibility and example shown by the Fashion House

2021 has brought us to the loss of many fashion icons, to name a few of the greats;
Alber Elbaz, an Israeli fashion designer and the relative director of Lavin in Paris who died at age 59 due to Corona Virus
Elsa Peretti, an Italian Jewelry designer, philanthropist and fashion model who died at age 80
André Leon Talley, an American fashion journalist, stylist, creative director and editor of Vogue Magazine who died at age 73
Thierry Mugler a French fashion designer, creative director and adviser of Mugler who was famously known for his unique architectural style of broad shoulders and small waiste, died at 73
Virgil Abloh, an American fashion designer, who boomed after being artistic director of the Louis Vuitton Menswear collection in 2018, he lost his life at 41 in the peek of his career
These icons amongst many others, left a huge mark in the fashion industry and best believe, have now carved the way for the next generation of creatives to boom in their own rights
