Dreams feed your soul….

a weekend spent feeding my soul with rest and much needed healing for my shoulder…

I have a dream feeding my soul too and this current book is part of it, so I thought I’d share some enlightenment I have taken from my read thus far….

“Wisdom is only useful when it can be used in day-to-day problems and often it is our own perception of limitations that prevents us from from fully achieving our dreams”

𝐹𝑙𝑒𝑥𝑖𝑏𝑖𝑙𝑖𝑡𝑦….

is that little bit extra we have to remain fluid and adaptable on our yoga mats and during our day to day life.

In Yoga we practice flexibility through asanas and pushing ourselves a little further in each pose, but Yoga teaches us more about flexibility…. by learning to honour our bodies and understand our limitations on the mat helps us understand ourselves better as we move off the mat recognizing whenever we are stuck in life that we have the ability to be flexible and adapt to whatever changes life throws at us.

Set an intention for yourself to be open to new experiences and to be open to adapt and adjust and begin to notice the differences that will flow in your life, your success and peace of mind.

Today I celebrate all the big and small things in my journey. The first investment I made for myself, that bloomed into Ananda Wellness Yoga - turns 1 today!!!
(hip hip hooray 🎉)

I am so thankful for my family, my teachers and my friends who believed in me before I did myself, who gave me a safe space to unfold each layer of my being and to continue becoming the best version of myself, for being my guinea pigs who volunteered or were coerced into letting me trial-teach them, being my biggest cheerleaders and always encouraging me to follow my dreams.

The biggest revelation in teaching for me thus far has been the breadth of enjoyment and joy I experience in each class and after. I am and feel privileged to be part of each beautiful soul’s yoga journey, each time you step onto your mat with me.
My heart is full of gratitude to each one of you for your endless support, for trusting me, opening your hearts to me and for allowing me to share this beautiful practice of yoga with you.

Excited to continue sharing, learning, connecting, loving and blooming 🌷…

Monday Reminder to check in with your body…

When you notice your body talking to you with tension in the shoulders, clenched jaw and deep frowns, take a moment to listen…..

Our bodies tell us when they need to pause, soften and relax so that our minds too can release and arrive in the present moment.

Today and the rest of your week, check in and be kind to your body and mind 🍃

Are you feeling - Anxious 🙇🏼‍♀️

then pause and breathe with me…

Box Breathing is a powerful yet simple breathing technique to calm the nervous system and reduce anxiety!

Sit comfortably wherever you are, take a long slow deep breath in and a long slow exhale out…

Then visualize the four sides of a square in the mind… now take a breath in for 4 counts, hold for 4 counts, exhale for 4 counts and then hold again for 4 counts

repeating as many times as you need or until you begin to feel the calm wash over your body and mind.

- side note: Personally I needed this so much as my anxiety has shown herself in full force again and how Grateful I am to my yogi student Gerhard who reminded me today of the powerful calming tool that resides within us - 𝐵𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑔!!
