We finally have the best weather to sit outside around bonfires, under the dazzling stars humming along to groovy tunes whilst keeping warm with food made with love and a drink to accompany it🔥🥘🎶

kept alive even after a long day of touring the garden route and took advantage of an enchanting two nights at our Lodge surrounded by good vibes!

After a few weeks of spring blessings we have been blessed with a full, fresh crop of herbs and vegetables!🥬

A thank you to our fellow garden friend "Malume" (meaning 'Uncle') for watching over our veggies so gracefully during this time😄

28th-30th of October flashback, the group of students from were tired after a long day of fulfilling activities in the garden route and a precarious night filled with raucous singing and groovy dance moves, so we turned the morning in their favour and surprised them with a reviving and colorful breakfast!💃🥙🍹

Home is where the heart is> so if you're not taking care of your heart are you really taking care of your home?🏡💘

A thanks to our maintenance team for doing a brilliant job in keeping our home healthy and spectacular 👬🌞

Moonlight meandering with Judy- a passionate marine conservationist with a knowledgeable input on the fauna and flora that surround us here on the Swartvlei coast at Gericke's Point🌊🌱⛰

Our inhouse guests from Denmark were shown rare sights of the rock formations formed over decades from insects that inhabit them, to glowing sea worms, live octopus chilling in rocks pools, poisonous jellyfish that are deceptively beautiful and crabs of all shapes, size and species🦀🐙🦠

Judy was informative and did an excellent job at keeping the entire group interested and interactive> this is a must do activity!!

Our group of Danish guests from Denmark had an absolute fly time with yesterday afternoon, who was more than accommodating and made the experience most enjoyable ⛰🌤🎉

Yesterday this exuberant group of young ladies from the tour group and a lively couple paid our Lodge a visit for the night👣🌖
The groove of the beach life came alive in the spirit of an oncoming December fever and it was smiles all around!💃🍹🌴

This morning's delicious breakfast featured tasty golden wraps and our favored muesli and yoghurt cocktails🍓🌺😄

When you have a dream, you've got to grab it and never let go! Especially when that dream is food that makes your soul happy🍓🌺😄

Colouring up our menu this spring with delightful flavors, here we have a nutritional breakfast cocktail🍹 topped with an edible flower🏵 to send our guests off with a dash of love and strength to feel empowered through the day while they take on the upcoming summer activities🤸‍♂️🚣‍♂️⛰

Yesterday on Saturday Morning, an event that used to take part in Sedgefield's "Slow Festival" made its annual return- the "Anything That Floats" boat race!⛵🌴

This competition welcome all ages of competitors allowing for some family fun, on a beautiful day while the water remains gracefully calm in our favour🌞

The goal is to build yourself a raft/ boat out of any material that ensures it can float, except...any boat materials! Once your raft is compiled, you race the other competitors to a buoy in the middle of the Sedgefield lagoon and back to where you began🏁

Minds were challenged and spirited souls were re-awoken in this challenge, reminding the townspeople where their roots really are🤸‍♂️🌿🌊

Lovely prizes were gifted to the winners by various local supporters involved in our community such as restaurants and shopping centers🏆🎉🎖

We are blessed to live in such a positive environment and we aim to show the world what happy, healthy living looks like!😄

For a long while our irresistably adorable doggo, Vibe, has blessed the Lodge with her ever joyful presence, dog- lovers and non-dog-lovers alike lay their love on her, close or from afar as she sits and enjoys the musical aura Angie ( guitarist and singer) persists to entrance each newcomer with!💃🎶🎙

On Saturday night, 27th of August, we all but said goodbye to the chill of winter❄️
Our guests from sang the night away around the campfire🔥🪵-surrounded by warmth, light and love❤️ that can only be supplied by the delicious Potjie🥘 and fresh bread🍞 that filled their bellies, along with many a drink🍻 and a memory to inspire their girthy laughs and infectious smiles!
We learned a great deal from each other, passing languages around, and experience of different cultures🤝🏻... and to that we say-Cheers to many more days here at AfroVibe, where memories are made🎉🌴

Featuring: Sedgefield's infamous Gericke's point🌿🪨🌊 A mere walking distance from our Lodge!
This secluded, wild beauty sits on the South African Coastline-and taking its name quite literally makes a sharp turn on the long Swartvlei Beach.

Gericke's point is a fun and fairly easy climb for those who are sure footed and ready for some adventure with the reward of a stunning vantage point at its very top! 💨 Looking down into the magnificent Indian Ocean, with beautiful rock pools teeming with coral reefs and wildlife (perfect for snorkeling on an outgoing tide!) from atop this glorious sand stone perch🐠 offering the perfect fisherman's vantage point🎣

If you find yourself here between July and December you'll catch yourself staring at the beauties that are our Southern Rights and Humpback Whales that pop in to say hello!

These fossil dunes are a MUST SEE!

A Sedgefield Sunset> nearly unbeatable, a delicate beauty🌱🌅

This here displays the appetizing entree from yesterday evening's meal, featuring a tray of flavourful mixed veg🍲, our very own homemade vet-koek bread🥖, a salad🥗 that tastes as good as it looks, and Sedgefield's infamous "skilpadjies", it's name deriving from its deceptive shape- but deliciously being chicken liver wrapped up in fat!🍖 Our guests decided to share between themselves but came running back for more after the first bite🏃🤤

Can you think of a better place to view a sunset than our very own Myoli beach here in Sedgefield, where everyday is a different yet equally as magnificent view! 😍

Last night was another to add to the books, jam sessions with sets of jembe drums 🥁🪘with all of our guests singing along went uncaptured because it was so absolutely mesmerizing and enchanting as the sounds traversed around our home, along with a heartwarming surprise birthday cake🎂 uplifted with a variety of "happy birthday" in all the students different languages-an experience to say the least!

Wednesday night took us all to a new level of ambient peace, music joining us all from South Africa to Germany to Switzerland - thank you and for allowing us to be a part of this wonderful journey, it is always lovely having you! 🙃😄🎆
