Hi. I was at your talk last week at Panorama Vet clinic.. You asked me for an update (19 cats). This little girl, Georgina, has taken an excited liking to raw minced pork (bought at Spar in meat section for humans) , she has stomatitis/gingivitis and has now caught and devoured a field mouse with ease. I give her Moducare every morning in wet food which I have to mince to a paste before she'll eat it. .
So here is the truth and nothing but the truth. These homeopathic remedies also work wonders for Human!!!! No jokes, after struggling to get the swelling down from a knee replacement for the last two months, Anuska gave me a remedy that brought the swelling down over night and drained the lymph glads behind my swollen knee. I would not have chosen the one that said it is for bee and scorpion stings, but she knew better. Great product and worth a try. She has many other products too. This serves as a grateful thanks.
On behalf of PAWS R US (SA), THANK YOU for contacting us today to offer to donate the special raw-based diet on a weekly basis for some of our rescue dogs who have skin issues and allergies. This is a TREMENDOUS BLESSING. We really appreciate the opportunity to tap into your natural foods and to learn more about the many benefits of the RAW-BASED DIET. We wish you only the best with your business and your work X
Hi i am trying to use the option on your webpage for where to buy

No stockist near u but doesnt work. Im from citrusdal would like to get my cat on raw diet
I'm following advice on transitioning my two cats to raw. I know it's going to take time, and the advice is to work slowly. I can't believe how quickly the front one has taken to eating the Simply Pets though. She is a younger cat. She's had her second full helping strictly raw. The back cat is still eating wet, which is also in the transition mix, (not exclusively raw yet) but I've sneakily hidden a little in the mix, and she's eating her bowl too. Feeling optimistic.

TIP OF THE WEEK – Calm the tail and you calm the dog! Think about a dog when it is excited – one of the first things that happen is that the tail goes straight up. So that you are touching the tail area becomes normal to your dog - get your dog used to you slowly sliding your hands from top of neck all the way down the back, and then gently clasping the tail against the hindquarters. It is amazing what a difference this gentle stroke and gentle clasping can make.

INTERESTED IN A HOLISTIC CONSULT WITH DR. ANUSKA?

Although Dr. Anuska is situated in Sedgefield, she consults with clients all around SA and overseas, by either Skype, What’s App, or by telephone. She treats your pet in a ‘holistic’ manner - looking at what could be causing the dis-ease in the first place and starting to treat the condition, rather than just treating the symptoms. On average all skype, phone consults are in the region of an hour, to an hour and a half and very comprehensive and in-depth. If you would like to have a consult with Dr. Anuska – contact Cindy on 044 343 1730 or email [email protected]

A TASTE FOR MEAT??

The issue of how to classify the dog and how to best feed dogs continues to be a highly controversial topic among dog people. If you doubt this, just try posting this statement in a dog feeding chat group: “Dogs are omnivores and can thrive on a wide range of diet types.” Good luck surviving the night!

A recent set of experiments conducted by researchers who study free-ranging dogs in India did some research as to what dogs really preferred, and the results re interesting – enjoy!

SHOCK AND EMERGENCY FIRST AID

The term “shock” is often used incorrectly. It’s more than just the uncomfortable feeling after an accident. Shock is actually a medical term for a loss of circulation. This means that your dog’s blood pressure becomes critically low and the brain and other vital organs aren’t getting enough blood. Make sure you know the signs to look out for.

MYTH – FEEDING RAW MEAT PLACES YOUR PET AT RISK OF SALMONELLA

Generally, your dog or cat’s digestive system can easily handle bacteria in the gut without a problem. Carnivore bodies are built to prevent harmful bacteria like salmonella from upsetting the healthy balance of intestinal flora. Healthy dogs and cats have very acidic stomachs, as well as natural digestive enzymes and bile that help them kill off Salmonella and other harmful bacteria without becoming ill. Unfortunately, dogs or cats that have been fed kibble for a long time, may have low acid in their stomachs, and as such, they may be more susceptible to the effects of hazardous bacteria. Animals with chronic inflammatory bowel disease and leaky gut syndrome, may also be at risk and for these, I suggest taking extra careful health measures as follows.

A further way to avoid any bacterial contamination is by choosing to feed a top quality, raw diet such as our own Simply Pets – registered, all human grade, formulated by a vet and nutritional expert, and contains everything your dog needs for optimum health. https://www.simplypets.co.za/our-products/on-the-menu

Simply Pets uses only the highest quality ingredients and has never failed a microbiological tests for pathogenic bacteria to date.

If you give your pet whole raw chicken necks, and you are not sure of your source, a good idea is to sterilise the outside surface by pouring boiling water over the necks, literally for a second. This will immediately kill any bacteria. Do not leave it soaking in the boiling water, as this will denature and cook the meat and change its nutritional value.

If your pet has been on kibble food and or has a sensitive gut or known gut problem, it is a good idea to support the gut with a prebiotic, probiotic and gut support supplement, such as Nutribiotic plus. https://www.simplypets.co.za/natural-dog-products/simply-pets-nutribiotic

DOG EATS OWN VOMIT – IS THIS SAFE?
If you’ve owned dogs for any period of time, you’ll be well aware of their less pleasant habits… However, there are very few that are as disgusting to us as eating their own sick! That awful “retch… retch… heAVe… slurp slurp slurp” is something none of us enjoy hearing from behind the sofa, especially if the culprit then trots round to give us a friendly kiss! But why do they do it, and is it safe?

HOMEOPATHY IN COMPARISON TO CONVENTIONAL MEDICINE
Homeopathic medicines are made from plants, minerals or animals and are diluted using a very specialized form of manufacturing called potentisation.
