The pricipal wouldnt even give me a testimonial for my first job as a waiter. Said it was kinda like an art school. Wow was it fun! Was naughty. But hell look at me know trying to kill the art industry slowly and didnt need that testimonial;) one day when im an international artist I just wanna say thanks Mr principal for being so understanding or not😁 and thanks for the help :D

Dear Hill College Alumni, parents past and present. We are very sad to inform you that Mr Johan Reyneke, after a very short illness, passed away this afternoon (he was diagnosed on Wednesday with stage 4 cancer). He will be sorely missed by all, and may he rest in peace. Please keep his family in your thoughts as they go through this difficult time. Farewell to a true maths master - you will be missed.

Hill College VALEDICTORY 2020

We are proud to announce, that we managed to hold a "Covid" Valedictory ceremony today, the hall with all the spacing looked more like an aircraft waiting to take off :). Sadly our grade 10's and 11's could not share the moment due to spacing. BUT - A huge CONGRATULATIONS to Macaela Bouwer & Michael Boreham on being appointed the Head Girl & Head Boy respectively of the class of 2020 today, by their peers and fellow matrics. Covid, or no Covid, our leaders will always shine through. Well done to both of you on this great achievement.

DAY: 14 HILL COLLEGE - COVID-19 Count down to our return. Our Super Hero Staff are all ready & waiting. The last of our superheroes unfortunately got called on a mission to find our Minister of Education, due to missing her original Sunday briefing on the re-opening of schools. Mission successful - briefed the country today (lucky was not Kryptonite). This superhero has been absorbing and metabolizing solar energy to keep up with his team of Superheroes - who together have ensured The Hill College - is ready and waiting. All that is now needed are are SUPER STUDENTS to fill the college with their laughter and positivism for their futures - Hill College's Principal - Rodney Pettitt, and his full superhero TEAM look forward to welcoming our learners back. www.hillcollege.co.za

Here is what a ready school looks like (very much transformed from before lock-down). From arrival, to reception, corridor shield, new teaching areas & spaced classes. DAY: 12 HILL COLLEGE - COVID-19 Count down to our return. Our Super Hero Staff are all ready & waiting. This lady is renown for her superhuman strength in keeping control when computer crashes and viruses are blamed if non delivery of tasks (ask many an alumni student). She is the first at college, and one of the last to leave, thanks to her stamina, durability, and agility powers. When in a rush, can also fly at great speeds, well beyond the sound barrier it is rumored A wizard around the keyboard, Office and programming, our own CAT specialist and Captain Marvel - Mrs Rolene Pettitt. He uses his super power of being able to sense when learners are struggling; uses agility to turn a sum onto its head so that learners can understand it. A man of the science, passionate and sincere - hopefully part of the team advising the President. Known for using Atomic Blasts - to propel scientific laws and knowledge in the direction of his students. Atomic Absorption - in listening to stories for homework not being that would challenge the very core of scientific logic. But probably his most developed power - that of Atomic Manipulation - being able to transform learners knowledge and understanding of science from a trickle to a full flow of force fields. Many an Alumni will testify to this - Our very own Doctor Atom - Dr Raj Kurup. (Who will be tomorrows Hill Superhero?)

THE HILL COLLEGE, Developing Tomorrow's SUCCESS Stories Today - Dylan Nel collecting the awards over the mid-year break :)

A Huge CONGRATULATIONS to Dylan Nel, building on the Hill College teams 1st place in Mintek's Provincial Science Quiz - Dylan was part of the Provincial team that took 2nd place at Nationals in Johannesburg. If this was not enough - he was the only Eastern Cape FINALIST (12 Finalists) in the National Computer Olympiad 2018 - Winning the BRONZE MEDAL in the finals held in Cape Town.

HILL COLLEGE - PROVINCIAL WINNERS GOLD CATEGORY - Mintek South Africa Science Competition.

A BIG CONGRATULATIONS to the Hill College Team who won the Provincial Title in the Gold Category of Mintek South Africa's Premier National Science Competition competing against schools from across the province - including East London. The cherry on top - was Dylan Nel winning the top learner award in the Gold Category, who now will be presenting the Province at the National Finals in Johannesburg. The team was from L- R: Mr C Chippett (team manager), Boikanyo Moleme, Casey Groenewald, Dylan Nel - Taught by Dr R Kurup.
