In honour of International Nurses day, our learners had an exciting dress up day. They pulled out all the stops! Well done everyone!

We have our first leader board for Curro-2-Curro 2022!😎

The leader board shows the school's percentage of successful participation after week 1 - in other words, the amount of registered individuals and the total amount of individuals who reached their goals and submitted their results are taken into account.

We will also have an award for the school with the most individuals who completed the challenge over the four weeks.

Grade 3 E2 - BIG BRAG: Our Grade 3 learners had so much fun learning all about "Hoe om 'n boontjie te plant." We are now enjoying the process of watching our beans grow!

From when we opened our doors in 2014, under the amazing leadership of our Executive head, Mr Frans van der Walt, our school has grown from strength to strength, and we will continue to rise and shine!

Curro Westbrook is an independent school in the new Westbrook Estate, (accommodating learners from 3 months to Grade 12 in 2023) that is developing at a magnificent pace – we currently have 722 learners on our campus. Popular for our progressive 21st-century learning and teaching methods, Curro Westbrook is a thriving school which offers a stimulating and exciting programme, including Robotics, with a highly dedicated and experienced team of teachers who follow a structured, well-planned and balanced curriculum. The programmes are designed around developmental milestones that learners need to reach at different stages of their young lives.

In the foundation phase we start building the fundamental building blocks of your children’s futures. At Curro we offer Robotics, Science, Abuti (conversational Xhosa) which is all taught by our Foundation Phase Grade educators. We have an IT teacher, Phys Ed teacher an Art Teacher and a Music teacher. Our staff goes the extra mile for our learners and always has the children’s best interests at heart.

In our high school, we currently support Grade 8-11, each with a maximum capacity of 25 learners per class, and we are looking forward to extending our offering to Grade 11 in 2022, and finally seeing our first matric class walk through in 2023. The High School development will continue to support this annual growth towards becoming a “One of a kind” High School in the metro. We offer an extensive subject offering that ensures each learner is able to pursue a path that supports their personal interests as much as possible. If a subject cannot be offered face-to-face, then the curriculum is further extended with an online subject offering that is still facilitated on-site. Some of the academic value-adds include a fully equipped modern-feel science lab, an IT lab kitted out with modern technology, a STEAMD classroom (equipped with Drones, 3D Printers, Laser Cutters and Virtual Reality), and a dedicated Visual Arts classroom. Each subject offers its own unique specialisation and our dedicated teachers and well-rounded approach prepare learners for the IEB examinations at the end of Grade 12. The enriched academic curriculum is actively supplemented by traditional sporting and cultural extra-murals, as well as a strong focus on the development of strong leadership potential in all of our learners. Our goal is to have our learners become assets to their communities and step into their tertiary studies brimming with confidence and a love for learning.

Our nursery school, Curro Westbrook Pre-school, offers an integrated play-based programme to learners from 3 months to 5 years. We offer sensory play, holistic development of the child, safe, secure and friendly environment, dedicated and loving teachers. Included in our fees are breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack, and aftercare until 17:30. We also offer Monkeynastix as part of our kinaesthetic integration into the curriculum. The Castle is the heart of the Campus where every child’s developmental adventure begins. We form their foundation and the people laying down the learning cornerstones and bricks one after another is our group of resilient, ever evolving teachers and assistants.
