We have a great team of ladies here who are always game to jump in and embrace our ideas. Also a big thank you to the parents for dressing up their children and having such fun with our theme today.

Gross motor skills require whole-body movements and involve the large (core stabilising) muscles to perform everyday tasks. It also impacts other important developmental skills such as fine motor development.
A child’s ability to maintain appropriate table-top posture (upper body support) will affect their ability to participate in fine motor skills (e.g., writing, drawing, and cutting). Many fun games and activities support gross and fine motor development.

[Fine Motor Friday]
Grasping a scissor is not always easy for little children. Playdough is not as flimsy as paper, therefore is a wonderful choice for early cutting practice!
Ideas: Make worms / snakes and ask the child to cut small pieces off, ask them to make the playdough flat like a pancake and draw horizontal lines on it or draw different shapes and ask the child to cut it out.
