GRADSTAR
As students settle down in the first quarter of the year, many are concerned about financial security: how and where to access bursaries, internships and graduate placement programmes.
As a means of addressing these fears, GradStar has created the GradStar app, where recruiters from top companies in SA are able to search for graduates and students to earmark them for current and future programmes.
To this end, we would like YOU to please:
1. Download the GradStar App on your mobile devices and register (this allows recruiters to see what the students are studying and match them to the correct programmes).
2. Enter the DHL GradStar Awards (this process will assist with various workshops and work-readiness assessments and the eventual recognition of the Top 100 students in the country).
Please see the testimonials below from 3 of our current Top 100 students.
We look forward to welcoming each and every student and graduate to the GradStar Community, which serves the best interest of our youth, and which is why it is FREE to all students and graduates.

- WATER QUALITY ALERT
The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality would like to inform residents that the latest tests have shown a deterioration in our water quality.
The current drought facing the City, with the resultant low dam levels and fluctuating reservoir levels, is one of the major contributing factors.
Through vigorous routine testing and sampling of water in the distribution system for the past week, the NMBM has learnt that certain microbiological limits were exceeded.
It is through this process that the Municipality has come to detect failures in water compliance with SANS standards.
These results came against earlier results that certified our water as safe to drink.
This then means that, for now, the water coming out of our distribution system could present a risk to human health if ingested.
The Municipality urges all consumers to boil their water before drinking or cooking, until further notice.
The Municipality wishes to assure its residents that it is treating this matter with the utmost urgency and seriousness.
An urgent meeting has been called between the Water Services and Environmental Health departments to develop a turnaround plan.
An update will be issued tomorrow morning, February 23, 2022, outlining plans that have been put in place to make sure that the water coming out of the NMBM distribution system is safe to drink.
The Municipality would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused.
