Today we hung out and had a coffee before lectures start. We have loved these Monday morning connect times and they have really helped draw us together 😁

This week we are jumping into scriptwriting! Let’s go! 🖊

Presentation day 🚀

Today the students presented their music videos to an epic panel of judges!

We had Danie Brink from @hoolamodern and @johnteichertdop & @sunshinecandi from @rooftop_productions join us 😁

The students were given constructive and encouraging feedback and are ready to tackle their next big project! 😁

Our students are back from holiday 🚀

Today we kicked off term 2 with a time of worship with a few Timothy Ministry Training students 🥳
It was wonderful orientating ourselves around the person of Jesus before the term starts!

We are looking forward to our second term together, where we focus on film production.
Today the students get started on their music video project which they will work on over the next 2 weeks. Watch this space for updates! 🎥

This week the students are learning all about digital cameras and how they can be used as tools to become better storytellers.

Monday mornings we use the first hour of the day to connect as a team.
This can look like worship one week and pancakes the next. This week we started our day with pancakes! 😁

Week recap 🎙

The week started with Duncan Stewart Fine Art sharing how obedience is crucial when submitting our gifts and lives to Jesus. He took us through various pieces he had created in obedience to God and how they were used to create impact.

Rob Duthie then joined us and taught the creative process. He took us through the journey of creating his song “Internet famous” under the artist name @warmerheights.
We also learnt how to manage our inner child and inner critic when it comes to creating work.

We then got practical with a lesson on camera live-streaming systems.

Robert Barron is currently teaching sound production for live events and for content creation.

Next week we dive into graphic design with Helna Brown! 😁

Last week we went on camp, where we swam, laughed, played games and enjoyed getting to know one another.

We have been blown away by how God has quickened relationships in the team😁

Today we welcomed our first intake of students!

We had a great time connecting and getting envisioned for the next 6 months.

Tomorrow we head out on camp! We are looking forward to tons of fun and a deepening of friendships 🥳⛺️

Next week Wednesday our first intake of students arrive!

We are geared up and ready to see what God has in store for us as we grow and submit our gifts to Him!

It’s been a weekend full of RAF action!

We have continued clearing and preparing our building, with help from lots of willing Oxygen Lifers and future RAF students 🥳

@melissaallison.sa also held her fundraiser event last night and it was incredible! The evening was run with such excellence and the performances were great! 💥

It’s going down this Saturday! 🥳

We will be clearing the Ready Aim Fire classroom 💥

We are needing a Bakkie with a tow bar that we can use to pull a trailer. 🚗

We are also needing willing hands! 🙌🏼

Our gear is ready, the venue is being prepared, students are signing up and most importantly our hearts are open to whatever God wants to do in and through Ready Aim Fire! 🥳

We have been given the most incredible building to operate out of next year!

We were planning on having a work party today to clear the space but due to delays we had to postpone the main move, however we had a secret work party to make a dent and formulate a plan 😎 We are blown away by the members of @oxygenlifechurch who are always willing to jump in!

Our first intake is fast approaching and we cannot wait to see what God is going to do in and through Ready Aim Fire! 😁

This week Saturday it is going down! 🥳

We will be clearing out and preparing the Ready Aim Fire classroom for next year. Woohoo!

The room is currently storing wood and appliances and we are going to be moving it down the road to the owners premises. We will be needing Bakkie’s, trailers and willing hands to help us out. 😁

We will be there from 8am until 5pm - If you are able to give any amount of time on that day to help, it would be hugely appreciated 😎

We can’t wait to see this room prepared and ready to receive our students in January! 💥

Seeing a team come together with a common goal, communicate their ideas and collaborate to make it happen is an exciting process.

We look forward to seeing students relationships grow as they are faced with challenges together! 🥳

We love that we get to teach technical craft to the students, but we are truly excited to see relationships built that run deep between them, as they navigate their creativity and submit their gifts to Jesus together! 🥳

Equipped to serve //

In Matthew 20:28 we see that Jesus came not to be served but to serve. This is the heart we are running after! That we would learn to use our skills and craft to serve in whichever context we find ourselves in, that the world would see Jesus in us! 😁
