We recently completed a project for a popular food processing company, which included installing 120-minute fire-rated drywall partitions. The firewalls measured approximately 110 meters and varied in height from 7,400 mm to a whopping 13,200 mm.

Here's a throwback to a complete house build in Intaba Ridge, Pietermaritzburg, completed between mid-October 2013 and February 2014. The house was constructed using our Light Steel Frame and external cladding. The ceilings featured raked IsoBoard ceilings and timber eaves closures. The house was designed to have large windows and Vista Fold stacking doors to enjoy the marvellous views.

This project helped Shospec win an award at the MBA Excellence in Construction Awards (Single Residential Buildings under R3 million) in 2015.

We had the fantastic opportunity to work on the newly renovated Polly Shorts Spar in Mkondeni. Our team installed new suspended ceilings and bulkheads in the trading floor, along with new ceilings in the back of house. Additionally, we recommended and installed suspended sound baffles to help absorb sound waves and reduce echoes in the large space.

We are excited to have had the opportunity to work at the Midway Square Business Park in Howick, where we installed Mezzanine flooring and constructed their new offices.

We recently worked on a house build in Garlington Estate where we fitted new ceilings and cornice trims.

✔️ NOMASTYL M2 Cornice - A slightly graduated shape provides a smooth transition between wall and ceiling. It is known for its humidity resistance, being fully recyclable, being a lightweight material, and being simple to install.

Take a look at this build in East London, KZN. The Audi Centre is ± 2000m² and we were responsible for the interior curved walls, bulkheads, skimmed ceilings and metal pan ceilings.

We built 3 x curved walls at a 60˚ incline which made this build one of our most technical and challenging. The walls were of approximately 20 ᶫm in length and 4.5 to 6.5mm in height, with light pockets and large openings in places. Suspended ceilings and bulkheads were mostly curved at wall junctions with a shadow line perimeter cornice.

Furthermore, this build was completed in 4 months and led Shospec to be the winners of the Light Steel Frame category in the 2013 SAISC Steel Awards & were also a winner in the MBA Excellence in Construction awards 2013.

𝗗𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱?

The LSF building method consists of sections of structural wall panels, with the optional addition of trusses, made from 0.8mm gauge, high-strength galvanized steel coil.
These are put together using rivets or self-tapping screws to form the structural wall and roof panels, which are erected on foundations and floor slabs.
Once erected, the walls are cladded externally and internally, incorporating plumbing and electrical services.

High speed, Light Weight, Adaptability, and Flexibility are just some of the key points why an LSF build is recommended.

Through-back to a build in Pietermaritzburg, KZN to a ± 510m² residential house where we were involved in the entire process from design to completion of an office block (excluding laying of the slab).

The house has an open-plan concept with large, openings utilizing folding stacking doors, clean-cut lines, and structural features such as bulkhead ceilings and skylights.
Utilizing stacking doors and Bulkheads adds visual interest and a sense of uniqueness.

Furthermore, this build was completed within 4 months and was the Winner of MBA Excellence in Construction Award 2011.

Hufcors movable walls are a creative way to add flexibility and functionality to your space, they consist of a series of interlocking flat panels designed in custom widths and heights and suspended from overhead tracks

The panels are similar in appearance to a permanent wall and there is a selection of face coverings available to match or co-ordinate with the room décor.
