Matric Results Release Co-ordinators' Meeting
The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Education convened a Release of Results Plenary Meeting to prepare for the official announcement of the Class of 2024 NSC Examination results.
The meeting, chaired by the Deputy Director-General: Curriculum Management and Delivery, Mr Mbongiseni Mazibuko, focused on ensuring a seamless and efficient process for the highly anticipated announcement by the MEC for Education, Mr Sipho Hlomuka.

Reconciliation Day 2024
The KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Education, Mr Sipho Hlomuka makes a clarion call to the education sector to play an active role in promoting reconciliation, nation-building, social cohesion, healing and forgiveness.
Reconciliation Day is celebrated under the theme; "Healing Historical Wounds and Forging New Futures."
"Let us continue to fight injustices, racism, prejudice and discrimination, which continues to divide our communities," said KZN MEC Sipho Hlomuka.

In Loving Memory of Mrs Mathenjwa
The Department of Education in KwaZulu-Natal
Ingwavuma CMC, within the Umkhanyakude District, has announced the tragic and untimely passing of Mrs. Mathenjwa BG, Principal of Emanyiseni Primary School.
According to the report, Mrs. Mathenjwa was the victim of a violent criminal attack, resulting in her fatal stabbing. Known for her unwavering dedication, integrity, and exemplary leadership, Mrs. Mathenjwa served the department with distinction.
Her passing is a significant loss to the school, the district, and the entire education fraternity. The Ingwavuma Circuit is currently engaging with her family to finalize funeral arrangements.
The Umkhanyakude District mourns this devastating loss and honors her remarkable contributions to education.

ILembe District 2025 Planning Session
The Chief Director for District Operations in the Coastal Cluster, Ms. Thembelihle Gumede attended the Ilembe District Strategic Planning Session hosted by ILembe District.
The session was duly attended by ILembe District MANCO Members, led by the District Director, Dr. Musawenkosi Louis Madondo.
This informative engagement comes as part of the District's reflective and outcomes based strategic management process.
"I appreciate that the District conducts this session to reflect on amongst other things the three streams model ahead of the 2025 academic year." Remarked the Chief Director: Ms. Thembelihle Gumede, as she delivered her message of support to the ILembe District MANCO members.
The District Director, Dr. Musawenkosi Madondo in his presentation outlined the importance of overall excellent work ethic where the aim is to move forward as a collective ultimately, achieving the highest academic performance.
The presentations by Chief Education Specialists of the three Circuit Management Centers all reflected on their progress and challenges faced during the course of the year and plans to mitigate difficulties in the year 2025.
