Chad Toohey, renowned for his endurance and dedication to long-distance running, recently made his debut at the prestigious Two Oceans Marathon in Cape Town. The marathon proved to be a formidable test for him as he tackled the 56-kilometer race with unwavering determination, demonstrating exceptional perseverance and skill, as he crossed the finish line with an impressive time, securing a coveted silver medal in his category.
Chad's success at the Two Oceans Marathon adds another milestone to his illustrious running career, which includes multiple participations in the Comrades Marathon. Recently, he completed his fourth Comrades Marathon, an iconic ultra-marathon in South Africa, and proudly received his third silver medal.

At Anderson Engineering, we are proud to support the youth of our country. This Youth Day, we're excited to celebrate by uplifting and supporting a local startup business! These delicious cakes were crafted by a talented young entrepreneur from the youth upliftment and development program in Howick. Join us in celebrating and empowering the next generation!

In the hustle and the bustle of our daily tasks and projects we sometimes forget to just breath, take a step back and look at our challenges from a different perspective. Our design team took this one literally and looked back over the stunning views our country has to offer. They went on a team building hike up into the Drakensberg (Highmoor Nature Reserve) where they could bond in a different environment and get to know each other more on a social level. It is important to find ways to keep building and motivating the team which will keep taking you from strength to strength.

Hans Coertse (previous MD of Anderson Engineering) and Hennie de Jager (our current MD) just revved up for something truly special! They participated in the iconic DJ rally - a Vintage Motorcycle event where riders test themselves as well as the reliability of their pre-1937 motorcycles in 2-day race from Durban to Johannesburg. We have been pushing the boundaries of our remote team’s ability and they took up the challenge! Our Gauteng hub have been hard at work fabricating Swing-bends for upcoming project. Swing-bend panels are critical to process flow in the plant, hence the importance to ensure the details are up to Anderson Engineering’s standard. Our Gauteng team did a fantastic job fabricating Swing-bend panels for a local project in-house.

Anderson Engineering were privileged to be part of the Basan Cleanroom Forum this year. What made this year even more special was the fact that Anderson Engineering had the opportunity to address the Forum as one of the key-note speakers. Duran Reddy intrigued the audience with his talk titled: ‘From Concept to Perfection Hygienic Design and Engineering for Ultra Clean Vessels and Pipework’. The Anderon Team also had a Hygienic tank, fitted with the Andpure Magnetic mixer, on display. Hennie de Jager (MD) and Sudhir Debideen (Sales Manager) also represented Anderson Engineering at the Forum.

We had the opportunity to support Berg Street Primary School. The headmaster expressed their need for a sheltered waiting area where kids can wait safely, sheltered from the sun and elements to be collected from school. Anderson Engineering took on the challenge and we decided to cover part of their existing pavilion area.

Last week we had the huge privilege of being invited to attend the grand opening ceremony for the new pavilion shelter. The warm welcome, heartfelt response and gratitude we received from the headmaster and children deeply touched us.

As we reflect on this moment, we envision a future where some of the young faces present may become the engineers, artisans, and innovators who, like us, can give back to their communities.

We want to motivate everyone that together we continue supporting one another within our areas of expertise and inspire the next generation to work hard in building a brighter future and a better world.

Anderson Engineering is passionate about our Social Responsibility. We aim to support our local communities by identifying and fulfilling their needs. Our most recent project was at Gateway Christian School.
The school needed additional desks and security gates. Using a sample of the school’s desks, Anderson Engineering manufactured 65 desks as well as 8 security gates.
A handover presentation was hosted at the school on 26 April 2023. In attendance from Anderson Engineering was Hennie De Jager (Managing Director), Trevor Govender (Project Manager), Michelle Walsh (Financial Manager), Bongani Mtolo (Company Buyer), Keith Bartman and Trevor Francis who were key in the manufacturing of the desks and gates.
A gratifying project that brought smiles to the many students who will benefit.

Yesterday we proved concept and confirmed production times to one of our potential customers using our Anderson Combo-Mix Pilot Plant vessel to cook tomato sauce. The tomato sauce came out beautifully smooth and very tasty!
