🎧 Mixing Is About Making Decisions
If you're struggling with your mixes, sometimes it’s probably not your tools, it’s your decisions.
Here’s how you can start making better mixing decisions, even as a beginner.

🧠 1. Have a Clear Vision First
Ask yourself: What do I want this song to feel like?
Before you touch any plugin, imagine the vibe you're aiming for.

🎯 2. Mix With Purpose
Don’t just slap EQ or compression on everything. Always Ask,
- Why am I doing this?
- What problem am I solving?
- Does this improve the mix?

🎧 3. Use Reference Tracks
Pick one or two professionally mixed songs in the same genre.
Use them as reference tracks while you mix, they’ll help you quickly spot what’s missing or where your mix might be going off and also helps reset your ears.

Just turning k***s on plugins over and over won’t give you a great mix. You need to know what you’re trying to fix and why.
