Hey Everyone!

So you might be wondering why I've been so quiet lately and yes this post is loooong overdue.

But I am thankful to say that we were so busy this past festive season between beach shoots, weddings and dress fittings inbewteen that trying to make time for my family and little one, it did not leave much time for social media!

It may seem like not much has been going on this side, but behind the scenes we have been working really hard to capture special moments both for my clients, finding time to attend dress fittings and making sure my ladies look pretty for their photo shoots & for remembering to take moments in between to spend time with my own family and make some memories.

For a while now, I've been wanting to share a little bit of news with you guys but like I said there is just not always time for these (much needed) social media blog posts. I always joke with my clients that I have to juggle business hours with toddler hours haha which do not always gel together, but hey we made it and I am excited to share with you guys what I've been up to lately.

No words can describe what it feels like to be a photographer and capture one of the most special moments in your sisters life - HER SURPRISE PROPOSAL 💍

Being the oldest of 3 sisters, we literally grew up together with all those dance shows, school days, family trip, tea dates, first boys friends, friendships the list goes on.

But to capture the moment you decide to spend the rest of your life with your best friend was truly a proud moment for any big sister. This shoot is going to be one for the memory box for sure.

Today is a special post for me personally because its about my friend and mentor who is celebrating 10 years in her golden years of capturing moments for sooooo many 📸 families, couples and brides celebrating their exciting moments - Adele van Zyl!

Adele was the only person who took me under her wing when I was looking for guidance in the world of photography and this is fact:

I WOULD NOT BE THE PHOTOGRAPHER I AM TODAY WITHOUT HER.

She taught me everything I know, she's been on the other side of the phone when I needed to vent, cry, ask for advice or simply share a heartfelt moment of joy with her.

My favourite thing is to still to go along with Adele on wedding trips, so many giggles and laughs in between all the crazy moments.

She is the one photographer that has also (LITERALLY) captured ALL my big moments in life, wedding day, baby announcement, gender revel, maternity shoot, first day of olivia's birth in hospital, and my baby girls 1st birthday shoot. My wall is running out of space, she is AMAZING at what she does and it was an INCREDIBLE honour to capture her in front of my camera 📸
