One of the most fascinating things about tea tree oil is its rare ability to act as a broad-spectrum antimicrobial while still being relatively gentle on human tissue.
Tea tree oil (from the plant Melaleuca alternifolia) contains compounds like terpinen-4-ol that can:
• Kill bacteria
• Inhibit fungi
• Disrupt viruses
• Reduce inflammation
