Experience GIDA FIRE: an unforgettable stage show that inspires connection and joy. GIDA FIRE tells a story about Zulu dance, focusing on teamwork, friendship, and Ubuntu. The narrative follows two young men preparing to perform at a big dance competition called uMlilo Night. As they prepare, buried emotions and forgotten memories resurface, disturbing their presentation and what they wish to share with the community. GIDA FIRE has performed in schools, theatre venues, festivals, and conferences, with shows in Port Elizabeth, Cape Town, Kimberley, Johannesburg, Pietermaritzburg, and Durban. The show is written and directed by Makhubalo Ikaneng. The show is performed by Mongezi Masango and Mxolisi Ngcobo.
