The Land Party will unveil its Johannesburg Mayoral candidate on Wednesday, 8 July 2026, at the Houghton Hotel.

The Land Party is pleased to announce that it will soon unveil its Mayoral Candidate for the City of Johannesburg.

Event Details:
The official announcement and media briefing will take place at the Houghton Hotel. Full details of the media briefing will be shared in due course with all media houses, party office bearers, the candidate and her team. Members of the public are also warmly invited to attend.

Light refreshments (drinks and snacks) will be served to members of the media and the public. A round-table session with food will also be available for those participating in the briefing.

LAND PARTY is continuing with Day 2of the registration.

The people of Sandbaai, Kwasa, and Marikana have spoken with one voice, saying they want to correct the 2021 mistake of voting for a non-performing ANC councillor. They are calling on the party to bring back Michael Mhana as their councillor. Mhana lost Ward 12 by a slight margin.

Cape metro leadership was busy in Phillipi today. Led by comrade Nokuphiwa Khala.

The Land Party Chief Leader will be leading a peaceful protest in Masakhane, Gansbaai. The community wants all Mayoral Committee members to be present.
