Today 2 years ago we started our mammoth renovation with no idea what we were getting ourselves in to ! A massive learning curve , lots of lessons learned navigating it all . To project manage a build in a new Country is both brave and stupid but I think we can see that finish line not too far off . No roast dinner today just hard work with a massive clean of our house to make space for the joiners who are putting the main bedroom cupboards in tomorrow ... my husband deserves 7 medals after what he got through today with as much help as I could give with the heavy lifting . We still have scaffold up , porta loos and skips but we may just have a few more rooms finished for Christmas ! Here our Grace da Costa sculpture looks down the drive , placed under a much loved lantern to avoid anyone losing an eye walking into it ... an exciting week ahead !
