Forklift Training Course

Forklift Training CourseA forklift is used to transport and lift materials in warehouses and various other settings.

These machines are considered to be an extremely dangerous vehiclse to operate and therefore, requires specialised training to operate. The Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993 requires all forklift operators to have accredited training every 24 months.

Our forklift training course is designed for companies who use forklifts in the workplace. The course covers electric, diesel, petrol and gas operator licensing requirements, in accordance with the Driven Machinery Regulations of the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act.

The person credited with this course is able to operate a forklift in a safe manner with less risk of an accident happening. They will also be able to conduct pre and post inspections to ensure the performance of the machine. The person will be able to handle the loading and storage of freight by using the equipment and its accessories in the required manner. They will also be able to access emergency system and services in the event of an incident or accident.

Overhead Gantry Crane Operator Training

Designed for companies who use overhead gantry cranes in the workplace. The course meets the requirements for licensing of crane operators, in accordance with the Driven Machinery Regulations of the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act.

The person credited with this unit standard is able to understand the functions, safety and suitability of the crane prior to utilisation in the freight handling industry. Learners are also able to inspect and record the operational fitness of the components of a crane and be able to access available support systems and emergency services in case of incidents and accidents while operating a overhead/gantry crane.
Truck Mounted Crane Operator Training

Designed for companies who use vehicles fitted with truck-mounted cranes. The course covers operator licensing and safety requirements, in accordance with the Driven Machinery Regulations of the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act. The person credited with this unit standard will be able to understand the functions of a truck mounted crane while using the crane in a safe and suitable manner. They will also be able to access support and emergency services in the case of an incident or accident in the workplace.
