[10/27/21]   Notice: The GSC staff and residents are excited to welcome our outside members back! Outside members are now allowed to participate in events and activities at the George Service Clubs, kicking off this afternoon with Bingo at RLR. Other activities include Snooker, Workparty, Bridge and other card games. Outside members are also allowed to make use of our in-house hairdresser. Strict Covid protocols will be in place - wearing of mask, social distancing and santising.

Vesta Watters (89), who has been a resident at Lyttleton Frail Care since 2017, has set a new record by completing 310 puzzles over the past four years. She enjoys the mental stimulation that puzzles afford her and hopes to encourage other residents to take up the puzzle challenge.

Our Story

HISTORY

The Company was established through the coming together of the Rotary, Lions and Round Table service clubs in George with a vision to provide accommodation for elderly persons in a retirement village. In April 1970 a Section 21 company was formed in terms of the Companies Act 1926 (subsequently replaced by Act No 71 of 2008).

At present the village comprises the following:-
