๐Ÿ“ขThank you for all the replies we have received. If it was up to us, and most of you, we would continue with the event.

But, we have received official instructions from government with strict restrictions which state that all sport gatherings in the Western Cape must be postponed or cancelled with immediate effect.

We have a responsibility towards all people/institutions involved in our event, including schools and other sponsors. For this reason we have no other choice but to postpone Teen Champs until further notice.

We realize that once things are back to normal and we can go ahead with the event, not everyone would necessarily be able to attend on the new date. Therefore we will refund all athlete entries we have received.

No new date has been decided on. We will only be able to do that once the situation is resolved.

We are aware of the ongoing circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 virus. We will make a final decision later in the week and update everyone whether or not we will continue with the Teen Champs in April. Thank you.

12m Handstand Walk (Turn around at the 6m mark. Boys have to complete 3m Unbroken sections and girls 2m unbroken sections)
30/25cal Bike
24m 60/40kg Front Rack Walking Lunge (Turn around at the 6m mark)
12x Handstand Push Up
Remaining Time: Max Distance HS Walk

*If there is any time remaining of the 6min CAP the athlete can then perform a Max distance Handstand Walk until the 6mins is reached. There will be 2 scoring opportunities in this workout. The first is based on the time/reps you finished the workout with, and the second for your Max distance Handstand Walk in the remaining time.

CF Wings Teen Champ Age Categories:

We will again this year have 2 age categories for our annual Teen Champs 2019 competition. The age categories are as follows:

Junior Girls & Boys: All athletes under 16 will be allowed to compete in this category. Boys and girls still need to be at least 15 years at the time of the Teen Champs on 12-13 April 2019 to be allowed to compete in this category (For Example: 1) If you turn 16 on the day of the competition on 12 - 13 April or earlier, you will need to enter the Senior Boys & Girls category. 2) If you turn 16 on the 14th of April or later you will be allowed to compete in the Junior Boys & Girls category.) Date of birth has to be 14 April 2003 or after that. We will however allow teens to compete that are younger than 14 years, IF they can at least do the movement standards and weights for this category. Which we will release soon!

Senior Girls & Boys: 16-18 years of age will be allowed to compete in this category. We will allow athletes to compete that turned 18 with the following exception โ€“ You have to be 18 until at least 31 August 2019 to be allowed to compete in this category. Date of birth has to be 1 September 2000 or after that.

We will be releasing the movement and weight standards in the coming weeks!
