Our third-year chef students recently embarked on an exciting culinary journey for their final practical, exploring the diverse and vibrant cuisines of the world. This year, the spotlight was on Thailand and India's rich and aromatic flavours, two countries renowned for their distinct culinary traditions. Each dish presented was a labour of love, reflecting our students' hard work and passion for the culinary arts.
The experience and knowledge gained from this practical will undoubtedly serve them well as they move forward in their careers. We are incredibly proud of their achievements and look forward to seeing how they continue to innovate and excel in the culinary world.
Today was a remarkable day for our first-year students as they embraced a crucial aspect of the hospitality industry: maintaining professional workplace standards. From the moment they stepped into the classroom, they committed to putting their mobile phones away, focusing entirely on their learning and development.
In an age where digital distractions are constant, this act was not just about following a rule; it was about understanding and embodying the discipline required in the hospitality sector. They learned that professionalism goes beyond wearing a uniform and knowing the technical skills. It involves showing respect for the workplace, being fully present, and prioritizing the guests' experience above all else.

In our culinary school's bustling kitchen, first-year chef students recently showcased their skills in a practical session that combined classic baking with modern cuisine. The students were tasked with creating the quintessentially British Victoria sponge cake and a savoury Roast Pork Belly paired with hoisin sauce and Asian greens.
NQtac 3rd-year chef students were nothing short of spectacular. Each dish demonstrated their technical skills, creativity, and attention to detail. The Blueberry Clafoutis, Lemon Posset with Raspberry Consommé, and homemade ice creams were not only delicious but also beautifully presented, reflecting the dedication and passion of these talented individuals. As they progress in their culinary careers, we have no doubt they will continue to create extraordinary dishes that will delight and inspire. What an experience, wow!
Our talented Assistant Chefs have been working their magic in the kitchen, and we are thrilled to showcase their latest culinary creations in cold food preparation. They have masterfully crafted Jalapeño Poppers paired with a delectable sweet chilli sauce, and they have also put together refreshing and flavorful Salmon Poke Bowls.
Fancourt QCTO Students Experience Culinary Excellence at NQtac Hotel School's Soup Demonstration
A key highlight of the day was the interactive component of the demonstration. Our students were not just passive observers but active participants. They had the chance to step into the kitchen, under the guidance of the NQtac chefs, to try their hand at some recipes. This hands-on experience was invaluable, allowing them to apply what they learned in real time and receive immediate feedback.
