On Tuesday morning, residents enjoyed a fun trip on the Power Van! 🚋💙

Our deepest gratitude goes out to Sirago underwriting managers (PTY)LTD for their very generous donation of two brand new hospital beds for our Frailcare unit!🙏🙏🙏
These beds are state of the art, and are life changing to bed bound residents, as well as to the care workers that use them everyday, keeping everyone safe and comfortable for years to come!💙💙💙

Every year on spring day, the kids of Klouterwoud kleuterskool come to sing to our residents as well as hand out flowers!💐💐💐
We cannot say in words just how much joy this brings to all of our residents and staff alike!💙💙💙

Yesterday our Frailcare committee baked pancakes as part of a fundraising effort to raise funds to spoil our care workers for the upcoming Care Workers day on the 13th November!
They baked a whopping 1238 pancakes!!!🥞🥞🥞
A massive well done and thank you to all the residents, staff and volunteers that worked so hard to make this fundraising effort such a huge success!!!👏👏👏

Yesterday we celebrated all the August birthdays in the Frailcare unit with a lovely birthday tea! 🎂☕️🧁

Last week on Thursday, Mr Lionel Lakay (Chairperson of Tuiniqua's Service Centre Committee) gave a talk to residents, the theme of the talk was "Getting older".

To celebrate Women's month, Elna Kotze gave a moving talk about women from the Bible💙🙏

Last week on Thursday, residents enjoyed a morning outing to Simon's Coffee Shop!☕️💙

On Thursday 11th August, John and Magda Obbes, along with our Service Centre committee members made 430 pancakes!🥞🥞🥞
Funds raised went towards Tuiniqua's hair salon!✂️

At 12 noon on 1st August, the women of Tuiniqua formed a human chain in support and solidarity of all women in South Africa in celebration of Women's Month!💃🫶💃🇿🇦

The afternoon of 28th July saw the culmination of months of hard work and creativity amongst our residents, with the play "Sneeuwitjie en die varkies"! 👏👏👏
It was a tremendous success, everyone enjoyed it so very much!

The gardens here at Tuiniqua have always been our pride and joy, one of our residents (who wishes to remain anonymous) along with our very talented garden staff have been working on a project to further beautify Tuiniqua's gardens.
