Thembalethu Library e-Centre was opened in the year 2012 Centre, and launched on 1 March 2012.
This centre accommodates the greater community of Thembalethu which has a population of ±90 000 people including 2 high schools and 4 primary schools. The project promotes the use of ICT at local the community level and especially the under-privileged in the Thembalethu area. Thembalethu centre serves about four Hundred community members a month, including learners from the surrounding schools and also accommodates physically challenged people ,the library is Dis-able friendly

Thembalethu Thusong e-Centre
Remuneration: R5450 pm on a 2yr contract
Requirements:
• Grade 12.
• More than 6 months experience in an ICT e-centre or similar venue
Competencies:
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Well-developed innovative problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Well-developed analytical skills.
• Sound organizing and planning skills
• Proven management and leadership skills.
• Sound interpersonal skills.
• Sound Budgeting skills.
• Computer proficiency & Training Skills.
Key Performance Areas:
• Management of the day-to-day operations of the centre
• Financial management of the Centre Resources
• Ensure that all policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to (incl HR, Finance, Asset and Risk Management, Procurement, Administrative etc)
• Formulate, develop and review policies and procedures relating to operations of the centre
• Present reports on the activities, usage and outcomes of the centre
• Provide monthly written reports, with verifiable inputs, on the activities, usage and outcomes of the centre as required
• Set up and maintain suitable records, business and administrative systems for the centre, including filing systems, recording information on correspondence systems or databases etc
• Oversee training provision and provide information, assistance and advice to the community
• Assist with technical support in the centre
• Provide project management support for community development projects
DIRECTIVES TO CANDIDATES
1. Applicants must indicate clearly, in a covering letter that they are applying for the position of Assistant Administrator.
2. The letter should be accompanied by a comprehensive and current Curriculum Vitae (five
pages maximum, CVs will not be returned), and
3. a copy of identity document, matric certificate and the names of three referees.

Registration for phase 2 of the COVID-19 vaccine roll-out opens today on the Electronic Vaccination Data System (EVDS). People older than 60 years will be vaccinated first and are asked to register as soon as possible. Receiving the COVID-19 vaccination will help to protect you from severe COVID-19 symptoms.
You have to be registered to be vaccinated. You will need your Identification Document, passport, or asylum seeker/refugee number to register and will have to bring it with you to the vaccination site. If you belong to a medical aid, please bring your card with you to the vaccination site.
To register:
1. Go to the EVDS portal to register: https://vaccine.enroll.health.gov.za/#/ or sms *134*832# from any SA network or Whatsapp the word REGISTER to 0600 123 456
2. Follow the steps on the portal and complete your details.
3. You will receive a SMS to confirm your registration
4. When it is your turn to be vaccinated, you will receive a SMS informing you when and where you will be vaccinated.
It is important to use your correct address and cellphone number so that you can be referred to your closest vaccination site and receive your vaccination information.
Provision will be made for people in old age homes and people who do not own devices to register. Details will be confirmed at a local level.
