STARVATION, DISEASE, NEGLECT AND CRUELTY IN OUR COMMUNITY
…can all be tackled by sterilisation of animals. That's why the PDSA has teamed up with the SPCA (yep, they're two separate groups 🙂) for this amazing sterilisation drive

Both organisations rely on donations so they can keep helping animals in our community. Please support them whenever you can 🐾

🌟TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK 🌟

The Garden Route SPCA and the People's Dispensary for Sick Animals will be working together in a joint operation to sterilize 50 dogs in the next six weeks. 🐶

This has all been made possible due to the amazing fun dog show event that was held hy Sean Snyman and Smart Paws Academy, during the month of May. 🤩

They raised a wopping R17 160 all in aid of the sterilization campaign. Sterilization is key to the prevention of cruelty to animals. 💪

We look forward to working with the PDSA, who will be performing the operations at their facility and we are excited to be collecting the first ten dogs at their homes tomorrow and offloading them at the PDSA. 🚙

The GRSPCA is currently extremely overwhelmed with the amount of sick and injured animals and sterilization's we are performing every single day, that we are so grateful that the PDSA has offered to perform the operations at their facility. THANK YOU!

This sterilization campaign will be the prevention of thousands of dogs being born into a world where there are not enough homes for them. They will never be exposed to suffering or cruelty.

Thank you to every single supporter who attended the event and made the sterilization campaign possible. 🙏❣️

Our heroes Viona and Logan kindly gave up their Saturday morning to do an outreach (in the cold) for the Hoekwil Humane Society. Dankie ladies!

The Curious Case of Rooies...

Has this ever happened? Sitting in the waiting room at the George PDSA I noticed a dog sitting(lying) in the queue by himself. Everyone started asking around to try and find the owner. No one had seen anyone with him. The health care officer, Mrs Vanessa Lucas, called him in when his turn arrived. She checked him out and besides having a bit of mange, which was treated, he is in good health. Rooies, as we call him, had booked himself into the George PDSA. This boy needs a home, he is a special one. He is there waiting....with a smile.

Please HELP!!! The washing machine is for PDSA George. Every night each of our patients gets a clean warm blanket to sleep on.

We need your help with a new or used industrial washing machine.
With winter showing its icy face we need to keep our patients warm and cozy.

Our heroes Viona and Logan once again gave up their sunny Saturday mornings to do an outreach for the Hoekwil Humane Society. Vaccinations and dewormers were given, wounds were treated and nails were clipped. Baie dankie Viona and Logan! 🐾

WORKING TOGETHER TO HELP ANIMALS IN OUR COMMUNITY
Children's Overseas Learning Opportunities & Resource Strategies (COLORS) teamed up with the PDSA (People's Dispensary for Sick Animals) for an outreach in Kleinkrantz

While PDSA superstar Viona manned the mobile unit – vaccinating, deworming, treating wounds – COLORS' dynamic duo Sunyata and Leandry dipped dogs (to prevent ticks and fleas), handed out leashes hand-made by kids at the Rondevlei Learning Centre, and distributed food (donated – as were the dewormers and vaccination fees – by COLORS)

COLORS also gave e'Pap to people who attended with children

We love it when the community and charities come together to help each other. A big Baie Dankie to community hero Kevin in Kleinkrantz (who works to get the community to support our outreaches), Sunny at COLORS and of course our very own Viona from the PDSA 🐾
