A humble "brag post" today...
Only three days áfter our arrival at LaQueta in Jan this year, filled with excitement for the future and savouring the luxury of a new beginning, we were unexpectedly surprised AND blessed by the birth of a gorgeous little baby Blue Wildebeest cow...we named her Blessing, who quickly became "Bibi"...
Ten days later, still in awe of Bibi's appearance, and much to our surprise (agáin), we were blessed with her cousin, a little bull, and so "Angus" were welcomed to our LaQueta family!
Another tranquil day here at LaQueta...
The sun is shining...the sea calm and quiet...
The only audible sounds on this beautiful morning are the content chirping of birds!
Total Bliss🙌
Mist rolling in from the sea this afternoon.....kind of eerie, but still só beautiful as the sun dips below the horizon...
In awe of this amazing moment here at LaQueta🙌
Secretely enjoying "lockdown" in our little paradise..
Wouldn't be anywhere else in the world!!
Some see a w**d....
Some see a wish....
"Sunset State Of Mind...."
Two pictures...Two words...Absolute Bliss...
Yet another amazing sunset captured in the moment here at LaQueta!
Here at LaQueta we are blessed with endless and amazing sunsets/ sunrises....
"How great is it to live
under a sky
that is repainted
every day
by the Greatest Artist..." 🙌
Fifty Shades of Blue today with Mosselbay in the background...
Gorgousness🙌🙌🙌
One of the most magical moments in a day is sunset... the time when the sun goes down in the horizon creating a beautiful view that the strongest words aren’t enough to describe.
A magical ending to another beautiful day here at LaQueta.
Blessed!
RENOVATION, INTERRUPTED….
With most construction projects deemed non-essential during the Covid 19 pandemic, our renovations have been frozen in limbo as well!
The Coronavirus has upended everyone and everything and unfortunately our project is going to stretch out for longer than we have planned and anticipated.
We have so many plans on hold, and to be honest, we were very frustrated with the lockdown announcement together with the immediate halt of all renovating projects.
However, realising that this essential isolation too shall pass, we have decided to focus on the beauty of nature surrounding us….how awesome it is to see nature grow in silence, to see the stars, the moon, the sun and the sea move in silence…..to connect with your soul again…..and this is exactly why the name “La Queta” was chosen (meaning “The Silent One).
We are currently unable to confirm an opening date for bookings at our beautiful self- catering wooden cabins, BUT will keep you posted of our progress once lockdown on renovations has been lifted.
We will in the meantime share our beautiful scenery, sunrises and most gorgeous sunsets on our page. Please feel free to share.
Stay Safe.

LaQueta.....”The Quiet One”
Our story began where all things of value begin : with a heart and a dream.
We have always dreamt of living closer to nature and contemplating ways to escape the numerous stressors that surround urban living…..we have found our little paradise, perfectly located on 10hectare of green open spaces, a beautiful forest and the majestic ocean, as well as wildlife such as Blue Wildebeest and Zebra grazing peacefully between the cabins.
