The scenic Seven Passes Road meanders, among others, across the famous Touw River. Travelling from west to east, the Touw River Pass is the fourth one you’ll encounter on this route. It was constructed around 1883 and is a 2,5km stretch of gravel road with an altitude variance of 92m. Its original timber bridge was replaced with a steel bridge in the early 20th century because of flooding. One of the easier passes to navigate when it comes to bends, it offers a great swimming spot at the bottom.
