Jan 2023 title, PAUSE by Thabo Tbose Mokwele.
The days leading to Christmas have that vibe to it. Being outside in the sun, seeing people enjoying eating and drinking together, makes all the hurdles worth jumping over.
What a year this 2022 has been. After grief upon grief upon grief, I still woke up and showed up for myself.
"What's in the bag?", I hear you ask.

It has demanded more time from me than I had ever given a book. 450 pages and the first 200 pages were really really hard to get through, but you know me, like a dog with a bone, I don't give up. Can't be defeated by a-hard-to-get-into-story. I am almost done with it. Check my review tomorrow on
The title? MAD HONEY.

Unmissable!
And we are back after a hot minute 💥🔥 and we bring you the best in celebration of GLOBAL DIVERSITY MONTH.
As you know IBBYSA's mission is to connect children and youth with great books, and these authors do just that. They teach children resilience, kindness, generosity and how we grow through and in change. Most importantly, these three books promote the strength found in diversity, whether it's different people, different schools, ideas or friends.
