Haleem Recipe tried by KitchenQueens_ is perfect for Iftar.

I made Haleem mix today!

Hands down one of the easiest you’ve ever made.

It comes with a Haleem mix and jungle oats. Just boil the Haleem mix. I boiled it for 2 hours.

I chose not to add meat. If you do choose to add it all you need to do is braise it with some onion and spices and then add to mix.

Add in jungle oats and boil for another half an hour.

Blitzed it until smooth with some dhania and mint.

Ready to eat! Yum!

Chili bites made in under 10mins!

I used a box of chili bite mix.

Just mix with 1 cup of water. You can add grated potato or onions etc I just added 2 handfuls of fried onions.

Scoop and deep fry!

Literally nothing else is needed - not even salt. Absolutely delicious!

Ramadaan Day 29...Alhamdulillah 🌹...💕... My very first attempt at Macarons 🙈... As you can see they didn't turn out that great🙈🙈...but hey not everything I Make is perfect😊 alas they're delicious... these are burfee and rose filled macarons..topped with coloured almonds😊 I used freshly ground almonds.... 😂.... & a bit of cardamom powder...thus the Grainy look..😊😊 ( As always I tweaked the recipe..& did my own thing😉)
Will I attempt them again?....umm Nope....😂 Have a lovely day 🌹

How can I let Ramadan go without making
phirni for my family 💗💗💗 .
Phirni...a simple, sweet, aromatic, creamy dreamy, luxurious, milk based semolina pudding...my favorite of favorites.
It has been a traditional Ramadan dessert in most South African Muslim homes for many years.
And it is my childhood favorite 💗💗💗
My son asked me the other day......why do we only make phirni in Ramadan and why not at other times during the year 🤔🤷🏻‍♀️ Because he prefers simple & uncomplicated desserts and that is what phirni is all about. .
Simple. Comforting. Delicious. And Uncomplicated .
I have posted my recipe a few times before and you can view it if you swipe through the pictures.

Masala Chai
(Recipe for 1 cup)
Karak chai
1 cup water
1/4 cup milk
3 tbsp condensed milk
3 tbsp rainbow milk
2 lipton tea bags
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp elachi powder
1/2 tsp saffron

Boil water with teabags, cinnamon, elachi and saffron for 10-15 minutes. Then add milk, condensed milk and rainbow milk and boil for another 5 minutes.

Ramadan Day 21 Alhamdulillah 🌹

After Taraweeh Treats... Soft & Frothy Mint Falooda topped with nestle cream & aero mint...🌱🌱
Adjusted my basic falooda recipe...😊
Will include below..🌹 Have a lovely day...💕💕
Mint falooda
1L milk

1nhalf t china grass powder

2 T mint syrup syrup/1t mint essence essence

1 small tin nestles cream

1 tin condense milk

Method

Heat the milk in a pot

Make a paste with the falooda and add to the milk

Allow to boil

Add the essence and syrup

Lastly add the nestles and condense milk

Mixture must reach boiling point

Pour into bowls or a mould

Refrigerate...top with nestles cream and mint choclate before serving. Enjoy 🌱

Today's sweet treat....Rich & Creamy Kheer (Milk based rice pudding ) ..topped with almonds, pistachios & coconut ... I also attempted a 2 ingredient Dhai Warra recipe ... they turned out amazing ....dipped in syrup and coconut😊
My kheer recipe was shared on this morning 😊
Will share the recipes below ..😊 Have a Lovely evening 💖

2 ingredient Dhaiwara:
Recipe : Unknown
1 cup self raising flour
Add Few T double cream yoghurt till you get a soft dough
Allow to sit for a short while
Roll out thin, cut in desired shapes and fry in hot oil
Dip in sugar syrup and sprinkle coconut .
Kheer:
1 L milk

1 tin ideal milk

1 tin nestle cream

1 tin condense milk

1 t powder

2 T coconut

2 T vermicilli

2 T sago

Few cardamom pods

4T rice cooked soft wash and strain

2t almond powder

Handful of pistachios and almonds.

Method

Place all the above ingredients excluding the condense milk in a non stick pot.

Allow to cook on medium to low heat

Add in the condense milk

Leave on low till thick and creamy

Use a hand blender to give it a quick whizz. (Optional)

Adjust sweetness flavours as desired.. Top with pistachios and almonds..enjoy

Rose & Pistachio Falooda


1/2 litre milk
1 tsp falooda powder
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp sliced pistachios
1/2 tsp rose essence ()
1 tbsp pistachio paste
Pinch of elachi
1/2 tin condensed milk
1 small tin nestle cream

Boil milk and falooda powder on stove for 15 min on medium heat. Add sugar, almonds, syrup until mixture is light pink. Add essence, paste, elachi, condensed milk, nestle cream and beat until frothy. Pour into moulds. Leave in fridge to set. Drizzle rose syrup. Top with pistachio paste, pistachios and dried roses. Enjoy!

All colouring and essence/syrup used from
Assorted cheesecakes

Base
1 pkt tennis biscuit
100g butter
Crush biscuits. Mix biscuits with butter for base. Press mixture into cheesecake tin.
Mixture:
Beat 1 cream cheese (250g), 1 cup cream, 1 cup icing sugar, 2 tsp vanilla essence. Dissolve 3 tsp gelatine in 1/4 cup boiling water and add well to mixture.
Separate mixture into 4.
1. Mint: Add In a drop of mint essence and green colouring. Pour over base. Garnish with choc mint.
2. Rose: add in a drop of rose essence and pink colouring. Pour over base. Garnish with dried roses.
3. Vanilla: add in a drop of vanilla essence. Pour over base. Garnish with white choc.
4. Burfee: add in a tsp of elachi syrup. Pour over base. Garnish with coloured almonds.
