ReaderLympics
ReaderLympics is a non-profit organisation, established (by Tshepo and Tina Sefotlhelo) to build and promote a culture of reading in South Africa.
Given the challenges faced by the education system. Our aim is to increase the country’s literacy levels.
We celebrate the Courage and Power of the thousands of women who stood together on this day in 1956 and marched for freedom in solidarity! This day is bitter sweet as some of us believe that women should be celebrated daily in everyone’s actions and in more ways than we see today. A mere month out of 12 months and a day out of 365 days a year is undeserving of the role women play in our society.
Women are still not free from they are not equal in boardrooms or how they are remunerated in corporates. Women are still not given enough platforms to lead or be on top in business and the world economy. A woman’s freedom is still in the hands of an unequal society.
