Beim Stoßdämpfer-Wechsel lässt sich oft feststellen, dass die alten Komponenten in der Länge von den neuen abweichen – zumindest bei ausgefahrener Kolbenstange. Das liegt meist daran, dass im kürzeren Dämpfer eine Zuganschlagfeder verbaut ist. Die Kollegen von Schaeffler REPXPERT Deutschland haben als Hilfestellung für Werkstätten verschiedene Einbauvideos zu diesen eingestellt. Beim Einbau der Luftfeder an der Hinterachse eines 5er BMW E39 dürfen zum Beispiel die Druckleitungen nicht geknickt, verdreht oder gequetscht werden.
