Heaven is ..... getting my wheelchair back after a week of using the old manual one. I'm grateful and thank Daddy God for the old one, for everyone's help and for the strength I had to help myself as far as possible. Thank you Shoprider for
your excellent help and service, you never fail. Thank you Lord For my working wheels .... I am overjoyed!!!! Whooooopi
Ek woon in bloemfontein en ek doen al 19 jaar lank met hulle besigheid. Hulle diens was altyd uitstekend en ek het nog nooit probleme gehad nie.
Very very unhappy with their service.
Love my new wheels
Shoprider het my lewe weer doel gegee. Dit is nou weer vir my moontlik om buitelig te geniet sonder enige moeite of ooreising van my hart. Na onlangse hartversaking het ek besluit op 'n elektriese rolstoel wat my lewe kan verbeter, en so kom ek toe op 'n span duisend by Shoprider uit oor oom Google. Daniël, Mariska en werkswinkels span is tops. Van begin tot einde waar ek met my nuwe wiele uitgestap het, het hul als in hul vermoë gedoen om my so gemaklik moontlik te kon kry in die perfekte stoel. Enige iemand wat enige tipe rolstoel of Scooters wil koop... SHOPRIDER is die plek.
I want to thank you all of you for your excellent service. Thank you for going out of your way to make alterations to my wheelchair. It is a blessing to move about freely and you are all blessings for being such awesome and amazing people. THANK YOU

Summer body (Part 2)
As promised, here are 2 wheelchair exercises to increase your core strength. To avoid injury, never push yourself beyond what you are comfortable with. Today we will focus on the core and abs.

Tummy twist - rotate your upper torso from left to right, with forearms stretched in front of you, elbows on your sides. Maintain a straight posture and keep your abs engaged, and your feet planted on the floor. (Repeat x10 on each side).

Are you ready for summer?
Here are 2 arm and chest exercises to strengthen your upper body. (Do not push yourself beyond what you are comfortable with).

Beginner shoulder retractions:
1. Sitting straight, hold arms at shoulder level at a 90-degree angle, face your hands downwards and curve your fingers as if you are holding a rolling pin.
2. Stretch your arms in front of you. (Do not lock your joints).
3. Pull your arms back, squeeze your shoulder blades, hold that position and bend your elbows until they are slightly behind your torso. (Repeat x10).
More on Thursday. Start working out and stay tuned...

HERITAGE DAY / NATIONAL BRAAI DAY 🇿🇦
One thing that brings South Africans together (besides rugby) is a ‘lekker’ bring ‘n braai - from shisa nyama to boerewors rolls and braaibroodjies. Here are a few braai day tips to celebrate Heritage Day tomorrow:
1. If you love sosaties/kebabs, replace the wooden skewer with a rosemary sprig.
2. Go green and recycle - reuse tea bags (that have been dried in the sun for 2-3 days) or old candles to make great smoke-free firelighters.
3. Love braaied pork chops? Pour apple juice into a spray bottle and spray over the chops or ribs while on the braai.
4. For the fish lovers - layer lemon slices over the braai and place the fish on top. This prevents the fish from sticking as well as flavouring it.

Spring Gardening Tips: 🌷
The scent of jasmine is in the air, geraniums are doing their pretty little thing and we are all wishing for a lush and colourful garden after a bleak winter. September is the best time of year to let your inner gardener loose.
1. Grassroots - Give your lawn a boost by spreading a layer of topsoil over your grass, watering it profusely and re-seeding areas that have died off.
2. Go Green - Make space in your garden for a veggie patch or a herb potager garden. And then get planting - from seeds or seedlings.
3. Floral fun - Spring has a way of making us all wishful botanical dreamers and buying flowers to plant in your garden in spring is the delight of every gardener. But buy wisely. Plan what you want to do in your garden before you wander around a nursery and are completely captivated by the colourful offerings. Take a simple sketched layout of your garden to the Nursery, clearly outlining which areas are sun, semi sun and shady.
