Silver Rabbit Interior Design
We make the space you aspire to, a reality.

A well-designed home does not feel accidental.
It feels connected through the quiet repetition of thoughtful details — a familiar timber tone, a returning colour, a soft curve, or a consistent finish that gently moves from one room to the next.
This is where interiors begin to feel calm rather than busy. Not because everything matches, but because every element belongs to a larger story.
Repetition gives the eye somewhere to rest, creating rhythm, balance, and a sense of considered flow throughout the home.
Save this as a reminder: the smallest repeated detail can be what makes a home feel beautifully pulled together.
The most enduring interiors are not shaped by trends. They are shaped by the right questions.
Our day at Decorex Johannesburg was a study in thoughtful design, from sculptural lighting, expressive art and ceramics to beautifully resolved furniture, cabinetry, florals and material details.
Beyond the visual inspiration, the conversations stayed with us.
ARRCC Principal Quintin Gilman explored the role of interior architecture in shaping how we move, feel and live. His reflections on simplicity, context, circulation, light, acoustics and honest materiality reinforced something we value deeply at Silver Rabbit Interior Design: the most successful spaces do not compete for attention. They create room to breathe, move effortlessly and evolve with the people who inhabit them.
In a compelling discussion with Grid Worldwide Executive Creative Directors Paul Hirsch and Jiney Kandasamy, alongside chef David Higgs, luxury was considered beyond status. Through the stories behind Marble, Saint, Zioux and Pantry, they explored how food, music, lighting, crockery and atmosphere come together to create meaningful experiences and lasting memories.
We left inspired by the objects we saw, the ideas we heard and the reminder that considered design is ultimately about how a space makes you feel.
Which detail from the reel caught your attention?
A meaningful pause in the middle of a busy design season.
We were honoured to be invited to the DAS Inc Interior Design Conference — a space created for conversation, perspective, and a deeper look at the way design continues to shape how we live.
Moments like these remind us that interiors are never only about what is seen. They are about intention, emotion, comfort, and the quiet details that support daily life.
For us, thoughtful design begins with listening — to the people, the architecture, the rhythm of a home, and the life that will unfold within it.
What does a home need to feel like for you?

Simplicity becomes iconic when every detail has a reason.
Rooted in the Bauhaus belief that beauty should serve everyday life, this carousel explores a design language of clean geometry, honest materials, and disciplined restraint. Steel, glass, leather, wood, and confident accents of colour come together with clarity — creating spaces that feel composed, functional, and quietly expressive.
Thoughtful interior design is not about adding more. It is about knowing what deserves to remain.
Save this as a reference for interiors where form, function, and feeling are beautifully aligned.
A beautiful way to end a few inspiring days in the Cape.
Spent some time at the inspiring Babylonstoren. It's a place that reminds you to slow down and appreciate beautiful design in every detail.
As designers, these moments away from the studio are never just about sourcing. They are about observing how places make us feel—the textures, colours, proportions, craftsmanship and quiet beauty that can't be replicated from behind a screen.
It's often these experiences, together with the remarkable finds discovered along the way, that quietly shape the interiors we go on to create.
Feeling inspired and looking forward to bringing a some of the Cape's timeless charm into the projects waiting back in Gauteng.
A cold, misty day spent in the Cape sourcing pieces for projects.
From one showroom to the next, we explored an inspiring mix of antiques, mid-century modern pieces, handcrafted items, industrial lighting, rugs, artwork and décor—always searching for those special finds that bring authenticity and character to a space. We even met a furry friend along the way, who happily joined us for part of the adventure.
For our heritage and renovation projects especially, it’s the thoughtful blend of old and new that creates interiors with depth, warmth and soul. Pieces with beautiful patina, history and craftsmanship sit comfortably alongside cleaner contemporary lines, resulting in spaces that feel collected rather than decorated.
These sourcing days are one of our favourite parts of the design process—discovering the pieces that will eventually make a space feel layered and timeless.
Which find would you most love to take home?

Luxury is found in the quiet details — the softness of linen, the warmth of raw wood, the depth of woven texture, and the balance between clean lines and natural imperfection.
This Modern Organic palette is designed to feel calm, grounded, and deeply considered. Warm neutrals, earthy tones, sculptural forms, and tactile materials come together to create interiors that feel refined without feeling distant — spaces that invite you to pause, settle, and live beautifully.
Thoughtful design is not about filling a room. It is about shaping how a space feels, functions, and supports the rhythm of everyday life.

An afternoon surrounded by texture, colour, and quiet detail.
We were delighted to attend the Mavromac event in Kramerville — a beautiful reminder of how much feeling can be held in a single fabric. From richly detailed patterns to more playful, expressive palettes, each collection offered its own sense of character.
Fabric is often where a room begins to find its voice. It softens, grounds, lifts, and brings warmth into the spaces we live in every day.
What we loved most was the sense of possibility — that there truly is something for every home, every mood, and every way of living.
As you watch, we invite you to reflect: what textures, colours, and details make a space feel like home to you?

A home often tells us when it is ready to evolve.
Perhaps the layout no longer moves with ease, the pieces you love feel disconnected, or the rooms that once suited your life no longer reflect the way you live now.
A thoughtful design refresh is not about adding more. It is about editing with intention, refining proportion, layering texture, improving flow, and creating a clearer sense of harmony throughout the home.
When every detail is considered, a space begins to feel calm, cohesive, personal, and beautifully aligned.
Save this post as a quiet prompt for your next chapter or enquire with us to begin reimagining your home with intention.
The most successful projects are the result of honest conversations, thoughtful decisions, and a willingness to look beyond what feels familiar. The most meaningful homes are rarely created by avoiding all discomfort.
We want you to absolutely love the end result. Sometimes that means questioning what stays, what no longer serves the space, and what is quietly limiting its potential.
Good design is not only about what you see in the final reveal. It is also about the judgement, experience, alignment, and care that shape every decision along the way.
At its best, the design process becomes a partnership built on trust — one that allows a home to feel more considered, more beautiful, and more deeply aligned with the people who live there.
