It's not one of my best shots, but it is the story behind it that fills my heart with joy...

There had been a very special connection between the two of us from the very beginning. One day she arrived with puffy eyes, came for her hug and when I asked her what was the matter she immideately started to cry again. Some other girls had been laughing at her because of her messy hair...

I huged her a little tighter, sat down with her and comforted her. She remained on my lap and without thinking too much I started to do her hair. When she realised what I was doing she turned around and looked at me with big eyes:

" Can you do it for me?", she asked in surprise (obviously she didn't expect that from a white girl)

I nodded and she turned around again. Afterwards she desperately wanted to see it and asked me to take a Picture of it. She couldn't stop staring at her very own picture and rewarded me with a very warm hug.

When she saw me the next day, one of the first things she said was:
"Can you make my hair nicer again?"

From then on it sort of became our ritual.

She arrives, she gets her hug and we sit down somewhere. While I am busy doing her hair, she tells me about her day or stories she made up, she asks me a thousand questions or just sits quietly. It quickly became my favorite moment of the day.
