🌸 WOMEN’S MONTH | POSTNATAL DEPRESSION 🌸

You are not alone. It’s okay to not be okay. 💗

Becoming a mother can be one of the most beautiful experiences in life — but it can also bring overwhelming physical, emotional and mental changes.

Postnatal depression (PND) is a real medical condition, and it is treatable. It is not a sign that you are a bad mother, and it is not a weakness. ❤️

💭 You may be experiencing PND if you feel:
• Persistently sad, empty or tearful
• Overwhelmed or unable to cope
• Extremely tired or lacking energy
• Anxious, worried or panicked
• Disconnected from your baby or things you once enjoyed
• Guilty, worthless or like you are “not a good enough” mother
• Unable to sleep even when your baby is sleeping
• Changes in appetite
• Difficulty concentrating or making decisions

🌷 Please remember:

You don’t have to suffer in silence.

Talk to your partner, family member, friend, GP, midwife or another healthcare professional. Asking for help is a sign of strength — not weakness.

💕 Take small steps:
✨ Rest whenever you can
✨ Eat nourishing meals and stay hydrated
✨ Accept help from those around you
✨ Take a little time for yourself
✨ Connect with other mothers
✨ Be kind and patient with yourself

And most importantly…

You are still a good mother.
You are doing your best.
Your feelings are valid.
You deserve support. 🌸

If you are having thoughts of harming yourself or your baby, or feel unable to keep yourself or your baby safe, seek urgent medical help immediately.

This Women’s Month, let’s remind every new mother that her wellbeing matters too. ❤️

🌸 WOMEN’S MONTH | MATERNAL HEALTH 🌸

Healthy Mothers. Brighter Futures. 💗

This Women’s Month, we celebrate the incredible strength of mothers and shine a light on the importance of maternal health.

Maternal health is about so much more than pregnancy and childbirth. It includes a woman’s physical, emotional and mental well-being before, during and after pregnancy. 🌷

💕 Every mother deserves:
✨ Quality healthcare and regular check-ups
✨ Safe and respectful maternity care
✨ Support throughout pregnancy and after birth
✨ Time to rest, recover and heal
✨ Mental health support
✨ Clear information and guidance
✨ Compassion, dignity and understanding

🤰 During pregnancy, attending antenatal appointments, eating a balanced diet, staying active as advised by your healthcare professional and looking after your mental health are all important.

🌸 After birth, remember that YOU need care too. Your body has been through an incredible journey and deserves time to recover.

Please speak to a healthcare professional if you experience concerning symptoms such as severe headaches, vision changes, significant swelling, persistent pain, fever, unusual discharge, reduced baby movement, heavy bleeding or difficulty breathing.

And remember…

You are more than a mother.
You are strong.
You are enough.
You deserve care too. ❤️

This Women’s Month, let’s celebrate every mother, support every woman and work towards healthier families and stronger communities.

🌸 WOMEN’S MONTH | ANXIETY & DEPRESSION 🌸

Strong women can struggle too. And that’s okay. 💗

This Women’s Month, let’s make space for an important conversation about mental health.

Anxiety and depression can affect women at any stage of life. Sometimes the strongest-looking person in the room may be quietly struggling on the inside.

💭 Anxiety may feel like:
• Constant worry or feeling on edge
• Racing thoughts
• Difficulty sleeping
• Irritability
• Feeling overwhelmed
• Difficulty concentrating

💜 Depression may feel like:
• Persistent sadness or emptiness
• Loss of interest in things you once enjoyed
• Low energy or extreme tiredness
• Changes in sleep or appetite
• Difficulty concentrating
• Feeling hopeless, worthless or withdrawn

🌷 Please remember:
As women, we often spend so much time caring for everyone else that we forget to check in with ourselves.

It is okay to say “I’m not okay.”
It is okay to ask for help.
It is okay to rest.
It is okay to put yourself first sometimes.

💕 Small steps can make a difference:
✨ Talk to someone you trust
✨ Stay connected with people who support you
✨ Get enough rest
✨ Move your body, even gently
✨ Nourish yourself
✨ Make time for things that bring you peace
✨ Speak to a healthcare professional when you need support

Seeking help is not a weakness — it is an act of courage. ❤️

This Women’s Month, let’s remind every woman that she is seen, valued and worthy of care.

🌸 You are not alone. You matter. Your mental health matters.

🌸 WOMEN’S MONTH | AUTOIMMUNE DISEASE 🌸

Strong Women. Resilient Bodies. Unstoppable Spirits. 💗

This Women’s Month, we’re shining a light on autoimmune diseases — conditions that can affect women at any stage of life and are often invisible to those around them.

Autoimmune disease occurs when the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks healthy cells and tissues.

💜 Some autoimmune conditions include:
• Lupus (SLE)
• Rheumatoid arthritis
• Multiple sclerosis
• Hashimoto’s thyroiditis
• Psoriasis
• Sjögren’s syndrome
• Type 1 diabetes
• Inflammatory bowel disease

⚠️ Symptoms can vary, but may include:
✨ Persistent fatigue
✨ Joint or muscle pain and swelling
✨ Skin rashes or sensitivity
✨ Brain fog and difficulty concentrating
✨ Digestive problems
✨ Fluctuating fevers
✨ Changes in mood

Living with an autoimmune condition can be challenging, especially when others cannot see what you are experiencing.

💕 Remember:
You are not lazy.
You are not weak.
You are not “imagining it.”
And your pain is valid.

Listen to your body. Keep up with your medical care. Rest when you need to. Nourish and hydrate your body. And most importantly, ask for help when you need it. 🌷

This Women’s Month, let’s celebrate the women who continue to show incredible strength — even on the days when simply getting through the day is an achievement.

Your diagnosis does not define you. You are so much more than your disease. ❤️
