Vocational Training Motheo TVET College is one of the four public TVET Colleges in the Free State, serving the Motheo and Xhariep Districts.
The College comprised of six Campuses: Bloemfontein Campus, Hillside View Campus, Thaba Nchu Campus, Botshabelo Campus, Koffiefontein Campus & Zastron Campus, Central Office, Centre for Entrepreneurship & Rapid Incubator, Artisan Academy and Plot 32. The College offers career education to students:

Today, we proudly bid farewell to two of our exceptional students, Keabetsoe Moloi (Beauty Therapy) and Tlhalefo Mophosho (Graphic Design), who will represent South Africa at the prestigious 47th WorldSkills International Competition in Lyon, France, from September 10-14, 2024!
The send-off ceremony, held at NADA, was a heartwarming event attended by our dedicated College Council Chairperson, Colleagues Executive, Campus Managers, SRC members, and the students’ coaches.
Accompanying Keabetsoe and Tlhalefo on this journey are National Expert Mr. Johaness Bothma (Graphic Design) and Coaches Ms. Keorapetse Wolff (Beauty Technology) and Mr. Vuyane Ndamane (Auto Body Repairs).

We are thrilled to announce that the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Rapid Incubator provided the venue for a dynamic collaboration between the Young Agricultural Entrepreneurs Initiative (YAEI) and ABSA for an exhilarating pitching competition.
Out of the talented participants, four SMMEs from the Centre made it to the top 5 and will be representing the Nationals in Joburg!

3. If you were NSFAS funded and passed all registered modules for Trimester 2 of 2024, you do NOT need to reapply for 3rd Trimester funding!

Exciting News from the College!
Today, we proudly partnered with Deviare and Energy Mobility Education Trust to kick off our Induction and Orientation sessions for our talented students in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering!
Data Science program spans one year, followed by a year of hands-on experiential training at various companies. For the next 12 months, students will engage in intensive contact sessions from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, under the guidance of our dedicated Program Coordinator, Mr Leon Visagie.
This program is designed to equip these bright young minds with the skills and aspirations needed to contribute to the development of our country.
A special shoutout to Deviare, an innovative digital startup committed to empowering organizations in the digital landscape, and to EM Education Trust for facilitating access to education and skills development for young black South Africans. Together, we’re shaping the future!

Today, we bid a heartfelt farewell to Ms Susannie Odendaal, marking the end of an incredible 22-year journey in the Higher Education Sector. Since joining Motheo FET College in 2002, Ms Odendaal has been a passionate and resilient leader, inspiring her team especially the women around her to strive for greatness.
The farewell ceremony was a beautiful gathering of Ms Odendaal’s family, College Executive and Broad Management, Bloemfontein Campus staff and former colleagues like Ms Nicolene Swanepoel and Ms Santie Haman.
Prof. Phutsisi praised her invaluable wisdom, stating, “I’ve known Ms Odendaal long before these Colleges merged. We started at Bloemfontein Technical College. Enjoy your retirement, Mme Odendaal.”
In her touching farewell, Ms Odendaal expressed, “You’ve been a family to me, and all is well that ends well. I believe that everything I have accomplished over these 22 years has been through the help of God. Wishing you all the best!”

Motheo TVET College is thrilled to host King Hintsa TVET College for a two-day fact-finding mission! The Eastern Cape-based college is exploring the establishment of an Artisan Academy, and we are honored to share our insights and experiences.
Today, we welcomed the College Principals, Executive and Broad Management, as well as SRC members from both institutions, alongside esteemed officials from the Office of the Chief King Hintsa. Together, we embarked on a walkabout of our campus, showcasing our workshops, hostels, and classrooms.

Today marks the successful conclusion of the Gauteng and Free State Marketing and Communications Forum (GFSMCF) Drive-By Campaign!
We’ve spent the last few days promoting TVET Colleges as the Post-School Sector of choice for our youth.
Our journey took us to Kestel and Phuthaditjhaba, where we connected with students at Nkarabeng Secondary, Mampoi Secondary, and Kgola Thuto Secondary Schools.

From the moment Ms Daisy Moleko took the stage at our workshop, she captivated our students and Lecturers all with her warmth and enthusiasm!

Exciting Day at Plot 32 Campus! 🌱🐖🐔
Today, we had the pleasure of hosting officials from Free State Community Education and Training (CET) College, including Deputy Principal Academic Affairs Mr Thabo Khambule and Campus Manager Mr Jack Koma.
Our Campus Manager, Me Anica Labuschagne, kicked off the day with a warm welcome, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and sharing best practices in education. The purpose of their visit was to explore the diverse programs we offer and to discuss potential partnerships that will enhance our community’s learning opportunities.
Nestled on 4.2 hectares at Lakeview, Bloemspruit, Plot 32 Campus specializes in Primary Agriculture: Plant Production and Farming Management: Animal Production.
The visit concluded with an insightful walkabout of our facilities, including our greenhouse, pigsty, and chicken coop. We’re excited about the future and the possibilities that lie ahead!
