UFS Sporting Legends: Kovsies provided Karla with perfect balance to excel
The University of the Free State (UFS) not only gave Karla Pretorius an opportunity to kickstart her illustrious netball career, but she believes it also provided her with a balanced environment to thrive in as a student.
The Protea star, coach, mother and dietitian has fond memories of her Kovsie times and says it set a platform for her to excel on and off the court.
And this perspective now forms part of the knowledge Pretorius, who has played in three World Cups and became only the fifth South African to reach 100 tests, is now imparting to aspiring youngsters.
She features in the ๐จ๐๐ฆ ๐ฆ๐ฝ๐ผ๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ฒ๐ด๐ฒ๐ป๐ฑ๐ ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ท๐ฒ๐ฐ๐, which acknowledges current and former Kovsie sports stars by celebrating their journeys in a video and story series.
