known as Mecca is a Musician and Founder of LTKP (LET THE KIDZ PLAY).
He is from a small town (Bloemfontein) and has now found his building ground in Cape Town.
Not only is he one with with words and rhythm, but has had an impact in our industry for years, From Curating Listening sessions in Bloemfontein to Let The Kidz Play in Cape Town.
If you don't know him by now then you should look into him.
His music is available on Spotify & with his recent Music video P**A ( The Rain) he is about to cause a cultural shift.
P**A!
HA ENE!
"The name Let The Kidz Play is inspired by the early stages of the punk movement in England specifically The S*x Pistols what they did and what they meant to the forgotten youth at that time I wanted to mirror that in South Africa especially for the kids from my city which I feel like we are the forgotten youth our city is overlooked in all aspects. Another big contributing factor of what ltkp is, is this speech by de Gaulle where he said βthe profound troubles, especially amongst the youth, who are concerned about their own role and who worry about the future too oftenβ and I feel like that describes where me and my friends are mentally for the longest time weβve always been a youth that is so stressed and worried about our future. The substance behind βLet The Kidz Playβ is not meant to be confined solely to the music. I want to give a space and platform for overlooked creatives who havenβt been given a chance to βplayβ due to gatekeeping, lack of accessible opportunities or general layers of bureaucracy within the industry. To this end, I have already hosted an event in Cape Town in collaboration with Vision TV() to provide the necessary spark to push this growth."

Our First Feature of the month is MeccaMind.
We had a sit down with MeccaMind to find out how moving from a small town like Bloemfontein to a big City like Cape Town has impacted his Music career & Creative endeavors.
We also got into what "LET THE KIDZ PLAY" means to him and why he created it.
Not only did he let us in on it, but we were offered a full scoop of his recent Music video Drop for P**A (The Rain).
Expect the feature on our social media platforms tomorrow
