The Lake Pape Area is an internationally significant breeding, migrating and wintering site for many birds, and is included in the list of Important Bird Areas in Europe. The region around Lake Pape is home to lynx (Lynx lynx), Eurasian Beaver (Castor fiber), Wild boar (Sus scrofa), and other large herbivores. In the Park's territory there are also several villages where up to this date rich Latvian cultural heritage can be found. Pape ROGAS farmstead is located 35 km. to Sventoji (Lithuania) and 50 km. to Liepaja (Latvia). Villa Stone House - for 4 persons, two-storey house with studio-style salon, with big double bed and sofa transforming into a bed, toilet with shower and large balcony. On the ground floor there is a kitchen with a large fridge, dishes for 4 people and large terrace. House Dunes (one floor bungalow) with a large terrace and five recreation facilities:
Dune - one lounge-apartment for 4 people, 2 rooms with a double bed in the bedroom and a sofa in the living room transformed into a bed. The apartment has a kitchen with a large refrigerator and a toilet with shower. Dishes for 4 people. Towels and linen are included to the price. Outside the house there are: outdoor furniture, grill and skewers. You can buy coal and firewood onsite. Drinking water from the well. Large and cozy yard, fireplace, table and arbor. Bungalow Provance for 5 persons unique building, built in 1936. former bathhouse, currently adapted for relaxation, in a unique ancient sauna space. One room with three beds and a small kitchen, 2 mattresses in the attic. Near the house is full equipped kitchen with gas stove and oven, large refrigerator, teapot, dishes for 5 persons. Linen and towels included in the price. Separate toilet and shower with hot water. Camping table with chairs, and barbecue grills outside. Coal or firewood for cooking, you can buy from us. Large cozy courtyard, fireplace and a table with a gazebo. Getting Around:
