AFS Intercultural Programs Philippines proudly sends off its Philippine delegation to the 2026 AFS Youth Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland, joining young leaders and changemakers from across the world for a global gathering centered on youth leadership, intercultural dialogue, and action.

Representing the Philippines on the global stage, our delegates will engage with diverse perspectives, exchange ideas across cultures, and build meaningful connections with fellow young leaders committed to addressing shared global challenges. Through these experiences, they will strengthen the knowledge, skills, and global competence needed to translate dialogue and learning into meaningful action in their own communities.

Their participation reflects what lies at the heart of the AFS mission: developing active global citizens who recognize our shared humanity, navigate differences with empathy and curiosity, and take responsibility for creating a more just and peaceful world.

As our delegates carry the Philippine flag to Geneva, they also bring with them the stories, perspectives, and aspirations of Filipino youth. AFS Philippines Sends Off Global Educators Academy Scholars to Geneva 🌍

AFS Intercultural Programs Philippines proudly sends off Mrs. Roxanne Talampas-Legaspi and Mr. Carl Tilos as they represent the Philippines at the Global Educators Academy in Geneva, Switzerland, held alongside the 2026 AFS Youth Assembly.

The Global Educators Academy brings together educators from different parts of the world to deepen their global competence, strengthen intercultural education practice, and explore how schools can become stronger spaces for developing active global citizens.

Through collaborative learning, interactive workshops, and meaningful exchange with fellow educators, participants will gain practical tools and perspectives that can help them bring global citizenship education to life in their classrooms and communities. As part of the program, they will also work toward earning the AFS Global Competence Certificate.

For AFS Philippines, investing in educators is investing in lasting impact. Teachers and school leaders are powerful multipliers of intercultural learning—shaping not only what young people know, but also how they understand difference, engage with the world, and act with empathy, curiosity, and responsibility.

Expanding Pathways for Global Learning: AFS Philippines Welcomes UPHSD Molino

AFS Intercultural Programs Philippines officially welcomes the University of Perpetual Help Molino Campus into its growing network of partner schools following the virtual signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA)—opening new pathways for intercultural learning and global engagement for students and educators.

The agreement was formally signed by Ms. Hannah Mae Salugsugan, National Director of AFS Philippines, and Dr. Reno Rayel, School Director of UPHSD Molino, marking the beginning of a partnership grounded in a shared commitment to preparing learners to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world.

With an established network of national and international linkages, UPHSD Molino has long recognized the value of bringing global perspectives into education. Through this partnership, AFS Philippines will complement the university’s internationalization efforts by expanding access to structured intercultural learning, student and educator mobility, virtual exchanges, hosting opportunities, and global competence development.

More than creating opportunities to cross borders, the partnership seeks to create meaningful encounters across cultures, experiences that challenge perspectives, deepen understanding, and equip young people with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to contribute responsibly to their communities and the wider world.
