My Journey so far

Hi I'm Hayley, and I'm the crafter behind the scenes here at Dare 2 Inspire Gifts!!

I'm a stay at home mum, to my beautiful little boy Oliver, who inspires me daily to keep striving for better, and a fibromyalgia sufferer.

Over the years I have tried my hand at a few different types of jobs from working as a bingo caller, to treasury supervisor, to deli counter girl at a supermarket. As much as I've always enjoyed working, nothing ever gave me a reason to get up in the morning, a sense of passion, a way to use my creativiness, whilst doing something I love.

In 2015 I made a life changing decision to move away from friends and family, to live in Cornwall, here I made friends online with an amazing group of women, who inspired me to follow my passion for jewellery making and set up a business. I started out as a hobby seller, selling mostly to friends. But I found I really enjoyed creating jewellery pieces, so Hayneze handmade was born. I later changed the name in 2017.

In 2017 another life changing event happened and I had my son. I took a step back from the business and focused on getting my head around being a mum, to this small person I had made!! I love being a mum and it has been a dream come true, but I'll admit at times it has been hard, especially being away from family and friends. When my fibromyalgia symptoms got worse I decided to relaunch the business, revamp the image and look at it as an actual business rather than a hobby, so I could work from home doing what I love, whilst spending time with my son and working towards building us a better future.

Dare 2 Inspire Gifts was a name I chose, for a couple reasons. Firstly I was challenging myself daily to inspire people with my products to stand out, wear their personalities for all to see in a fashionable way. I myself spent many years trying to conform, and was fed up with it, so now I strongly believe the phrase "Be a wolf in a field full of sheep"
I also wanted a name that almost challenged me to keep going, hence the use of the word "dare" remember as a kid it was hard to back down when your mates double dared you to do something? So my name dares me daily to keep going and to push myself creatively. Secondly I wanted my products to inspire people to wear jewellery that makes them happy!!
