I think moving forward I’m going to focus more on quality rather than speed.
I’ve noticed that I’m speeding through my edits instead taking my time, trying to appeal to others.. when really I just love what I can do. That’s all that should matter.

What did you guys do on this nice day?!
40° feels like a summer day when it’s been freezing for weeks.

Getting better with flash.
I think the hardest part is balancing the light position with environmental light.

These were the first pictures I took on my a6000 TEN YEARS AGO 🥴
When I see these now it’s like I’m looking at a child. I was still trying to get attention instead of letting things come to me.
These days it doesn’t really matter. I’m content and I’m doing what I want. Business is pretty consistent, and I’m improving each day. Not just with photography, but life in general.

I think I like making things look less perfect.
In photography, we tend to make things look as perfect as possible, but I think it becomes boring after a while.

I scheduled a free shoot for Robin because she said she needed something to help her feel better about herself while going through a divorce.
During the session, she broke down and talked about how depressed she’s been for months. When I showed her a few photos, she said it was the best she’d felt about herself in a long time.
Before leaving, she gave me $200 and said, “Keep going. I’m telling you to keep going.”

Black history isn’t something that ended. It’s not a moment, or a month.. it’s survival.
It’s expressing creativity under pressure. It’s people finding ways to exist, love, build, and dream in sh*tty systems that weren’t built for them.
Black history is in the way we move through the world, the culture we create without being credited, the joy we protect, and the lessons we’re taught to pass down.
It’s more than just remembering what we’ve done. It’s understanding and defending black culture everyday ✊🏾

Can’t wait to get back to Baltimore (in good weather 🙄) and get some more shots downtown.
That sweet spot where the sun isn’t quite out anymore, but the building lights are on 🤌🏽
